Question JetGirls travel bug ...

I came up w/ an idea last night and wondered how it might work. I thought I'd spin it to you all. Seeing how responsive we all were to Regina's request for post cards, I think this could work.

What do you think of having a JetGirls travel bug? That is, have some trinket (e.g. a plush airplane) travel from JetGirl to JetGirl. When a JetGirl has it in her possession, take a few pictures of it, etc ... and then mail it onto the next JG. Then we could have a sticky thread that we post to as we receive and pass along the travel bug. I think the tricky part will be assembling who is interested and how to exchange mailing addresses (you just need to know the address of the person after you on the list). I guess that could run somewhat like the secret santa gift exchange did.

Does this sound interesting? Worth the effort? Fun?

Weigh in w/ your thoughts and suggestions!!

I think thats a great idea! My daughter did the Flat Stanley project a couple years ago and it was very cool!!! We have a friend in Rio so we sent him there... we have some very cool pictures of Stanley on the beach "drinking" some kind of drink out of a coconut!

Wonderful idea! I want to participate, too.

A website managed the Secret Santa. I don't know if there is one to manage such travel bug/addresses. . .

Maybe one person could be the master list keeper putting the names & addresses in order of receiving them. That person becomes the main contact and after a particpatant recieves the travel bug and post about it and ready to pass it along contacts the main contact for the next name and address on the list. . . just a suggestion.

If we can't come up with a better method, I wouldn't mind keeping the list, if you wanted to find the item and get the process started (if there is enough interest, of course).

Count me in! We could also have the person in possession of said travel bug send it to the first person to PM them their address after they post the picts. Could get frustrating though...

I am so in, that sounds like a great idea!

I like the idea of a stuffed animal or something like the plush airplane.
