Default England?

I've always, always, always wanted to go to England (ever since I was eight and Harry Potter came out, lol). I was really just want to know if anyone else has already "been there, done that" in that magnificent place? If so, what was it like?

Where in England specifically?
I've been to London many years ago and had a great time! It is a very easy city to travel in, especially for a first time international traveler.

There are a bunch of girls from England on the board as well.

I've been there many times--in several places as DH's cousin was in the Air Force and stationed there three times. We went all times of the year, taking advantage of things like a school strike to pop over for five days, etc. It's a beautiful country! But also take advantage, as Amanda says, of the members on this board who live there!

Hello there!

It depends where you want to go. Your question's a little vague! Although the UK is afairly small country there's a lot to see, and travelling around can take a lot longer (and be more exhausting) than you might think. What sort of thing do you want to do? Cities? Cultural stuff? Walking? Countryside? Beaches?

London's a fantastic city, but it's by no means the be all and end all of the country.. there's so much else to see. Give me an idea of what you want to do, and I'll give you some suggestions!
