Default Disneyland Discount???

Several years ago, I heard that airline employees get 50% off at Disney (either one). ANyone know if this is true? Anyone know if you can still get the discount at the gate for 1 day passes? I assume you just have to show your work ID right?

I've never been aware of any Disney discount except for the hotels space available. I searched all over interline sites and nothing for the parks. None of our airline friends have ever gotten a discount at the FL gate and they go frequently.
Maybe CA?
PS--your little waifs are adorable!

same here.. the only disney discount i get is because my sister's hubby works at disney. you can get hotel discounts but i don't think there are actual airline industry discounts at the gate...

maybe full on disney vacations though (stay a week at the park type thing)?

Amelia, yes, there is a discount. I got mine from the Deltanet website Sparkfly or something like that.?? It's 50% off. Really good deals, and on lots of things. I plan on getting my Braves tickets from them as well. I'm not sure if you can just get the discount by going to the box office and presenting the id. Maybe you can call them and ask.???

I'm no Disney authority, but I do live about 5 minutes away form Disneyland, and the ONLY discounts I ever see are the "Two-fers" for SoCal residents (you're required to show ID within a certain block of zip codes); also, they were letting in fire & police personnel for free (I certainly took advantage of that one!!!); and aside from that, there are tickets available online for several SoCal attractions in a block. You get Disney, Sea World, and Universal or something like that... Disney doesn't give anything away for free... They don't have to!!! We need to get the Disney people in charge of the airline industry, and then we'd all be making serious money! (Or, our Husbands would!)

If you do find 50% off somewhere.... Take it! That's AMAZING for Disney!!!!

I worked at Disneyland for a few years.

Disneyland itself does not offer any discounts of that sort. Your company might offer an employee discount through a website or catalog, however. You'd probably need to talk to human resources or a similar department to hear more about that sort of thing.

Yes, Disney World offers a 50% discount, (Not sure about Disny land) but you'll have to take your id with you and you'll need a letter from the chief pilot when you make the reservations. You'll also need to make them pretty far in advance because they don't offer many rooms at that discount and they fill up pretty fast. It's called the airline discount. We've used it twice.

Exactly, we've paid 70 bucks at Animal Kingdom, safari view. It was very nice!
