bag checking and nonreving

so we are flying out this weekend, and I want to check bags. We never have had to in the past, just the way things have worked out. But we are flying with our 7 yr old and the 6 wk old, and I just don't want to mess with it!

Do you guys check? Have you had problems? Worse case serino if you don't make it at all, how do you get your bags back?

The flights look pretty good, I told Lance that even if they made it on a flight and we had to catch a later one, they would be at the airport waiting for us. We will prob. have his flight suitcase with us. (just in case the return flight goes bad, he can skip home and head to work). so I thought that we could carry that one with a few of the "must haves". it is small, and a little more managable than four carry on bags.

I think he is just being a nervous nelly.
