Quick out and back with DH, the new Captain!

Hello girls, I just wanted to share with you the wonderful opportunity that my kids and I had yesterday evening.

As some of you know, my DH has recently made Captain upgrade (Woo-Hoo to that!) Anyway...DH flew into CLT yesterday so the kids and I picked up his flight from CLT-CVG and then made a quick turn, CVG-CLT. We over nighted in CLT (free hotel room and breakfast- another Woo-Hoo!)

I have traveled with the kids so many times on my own, so nothing new there, but it was so great to see them go through the routine of shoes off and through security, helping each other and holding hands. They were absolutley wonderful on the airplane I couldn't have been more proud. The hubby at the controls, and four happy (quiet) kids. I was impressed when DH made the announcement over the PA that none of the kids made comments about that voice being that of their Daddy. (I had instructed them not to for security reasons, and amazingly they listened to what I had said).

Here's a funny story: We had parked the car in daily parking and were making the trek to the terminal via airport shuttle bus. Well the woman nearest us asked my 5 year old where she was going. My DD didn't know the city that we were traveling to just that she was "going to see her Daddy". The woman looked at me and then the four kids and then quickly glanced away. I'm not sure what was going through this woman's head. Heck she may have thought that I was going to visit my baby's Daddy in jail for all I know. LOL! But the kids took the talk on the way to the airport about security measures to heart and did not broadcast who their Daddy was. They never mentioned that they were going to visit their Daddy at the airport.
