| On Wednesday, hubby is ending a trip in Boston. He is going to skip the deadhead (he will be duty timed out) and I am going to meet him up there. We are going to spend a couple of days seeing the sights. I really want to walk the Freedom Trail, but a little nervous about how cold it will be. Too cold for walking??? Let me phrase it better, too cold for walking for two southerns who still buy bread and milk at the hint of a snowflake? (Hehehe, just joking. We are not quite that bad.) What are the best history type places to go? And I know that this sounds a little stupid, but where is the best place for a cup of tea? (Having a cup of tea in Boston is on my life list of things to do.) |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Being the weather weanie and career meteorologist myself, I recommend the US weather service: 7-Day Forecast for Latitude 42.36N and Longitude -71.04W I've been to Boston only in the summer, but recommend Quincy Market and the Old North End for food. Quincy Market - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia North End, Boston, Massachusetts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Enjoy your trip!!! |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Its cold! We had freezing rain/sleet/snow here last night (we live in Southern NH). We are supposed to get another small storm on Tuesday night (hoping just rain) but Thursday is not supposed to be good at all as of right now (snow storm)....Might be something to think about especially if you are planning on being outside on Thursday and might affect the loads for a couple of days if things are cancelled on Thursday. Hopefully we won't get a storm, the weather in New England is known for changing very quickly! Basically if you are not used to this weather, bring warm clothes! Jacket is a must, gloves will be helpful ![]() |

| I live in ME about 1.5 hours north of Boston--we've been getting some light snow this week, but it hasn't been too windy and the temp has been about 28-35. NOT bad for this time of year around here, the sun even felt warm yesterday! Just bring a warm jacket, sweater, scarf, and light gloves and maybe a hat, and you should feel fine walking around. As for sightseeing--hmm, haven't been there in a while. But Quincy Market is a must see. And just walking some of the streets is neat, like Newbury Street or Beacon Street. And you can take the train across the river to Cambridge and walk the Harvard campus-- there are lots of fun trendy shops and ethnic restaurants over there. Little Italy is fun, but not overly spectacular, but they have those tradition markets etc. which is kind of cool. :-)
