have a good time!!! if you decide to take a boat ride, take along a sweater too... it can get pretty chilly out there...

Also, down near the Notre Dame/Latin Quarter area is a restaurant called Cafe Le Petit Pont (1, Rue Petit Pont) that's really good...()

Latin Quarter is full of tourist restaurants where they prefer if you speak english (stay away from there if you want authentic)...

Best restaurants we've been to so far...

Bistro Champêtre (http://mt.google.com/mapdata?cc=us&P...=3&w=270&h=185), 41, Rue St Louis en l'ile is the address...It'll seem really elegant/expensive inside but it just has that fancy demeanor, you can wear jeans or whatever and be comfortable that they'll still take good care of ya...it's near the Charles-Michels metro station...at that restaurant, they have full 5 or 6 course fixed meal (prix fixe) that are absolutely fabulous for not too bad of a price ($30 fixed) but they take really good care of ya and you'll usually get a free kir (aperitif) or dessert...

Le Sergent Recruteur (http://mt.google.com/mapdata?cc=us&P...=3&w=270&h=185) (41, Rue St Louis en l'ile)...it's a really FUN place where they bring you the veggies to cut up and make your own salad... bring out the cheeses so you can cut your own cheese/appetizer etc...it's cooler than cool!!

LOL! You know you would've heard something by now.

The trip was great, just haven't had much of a chance to download my pics to post them. I'm still recovering, and the last two nights I've been out late, so my body doesn't know what to think!!

Kristie, it's funny that you mentioned Cafe Le Petit Pont, (I didn't read your post until I got back) because I think that's where we had lunch on Sunday, but it was completely by accident!! I don't have the receipt, so I'm not sure unfortunately.

We stayed in the Montparnasse section and the metro runs right under our hotel.. so every few minutes, you could hear the trains rumbling below. Mostly we just ate and drank a lot (it's the American way, right? ), Sunday we spent the day sightseeing - walked to the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, then Notre Dame & back to our hotel. My legs were pretty sore by the end of the day!

I'll write more later & post my pics... I'm at work now.

I find that most of my money goes to eating/drinking when overseas....don't really want to buy anything anymore with our dollar so low... so with proceeds going straight to taste buds and tummy, i figure that's a good cause! HAHA

Glad you had a good time!!
