| Hubby and I had a mini two day vacation to Denver, CO. On Orbitiz.com, I got 2 nights hotel and car rental for $164.29. The hotel was the Crestwood Suites. The walls are a little thin, but the room was nice and clean. Had a kitchen, would have been nice for an even longer stay. The car was an "economy" car from Advantage. However when we got there we got a free upgrade to SUV, very nice. The taxes on the car were not included (around $32). We also did the second driver and the prepaid gas that added to our bill a bit. Denver was just beautiful. We drove a lot. We went to Buffaol Bill Museum and Gravesite. We drove up the Loveland Pass to the Continental Divide. We made a stop at the Red Rock Ampitheater (wow!) We drove down to Colorado Springs went to the Garden of the Gods and up the COG Railway to Pikes Peak. We also drove out to Cripple Creek to the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine. We had a blast!! The views were just breath taking!! Sometimes when I travel, I feel like the area is not that much different from where I live but going to Colorado I felt like I was a million miles away and everything was so different. I am telling all my friends they should visit Colorado. I would love to go back when there is snow on the ground and try my hand at some skiing (just the baby slopes). |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | I agree! Colorado is great. All of the areas katbaud mentioned are fabulous. But don't stop there. Head west to Grand Junction and the Colorado National Monument and the Colorado River. And then head south to Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and Ouray, and Telluride. Oh, playgrounds abound!! ![]() Last edited by spotty4; 09-27-2007 at 05:39 PM. Reason: typos |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | I LOVE Denver. My grandparents and aunt and uncle live in Boulder and we went to visit in February. Kenny hates going to places to visit my family, especially for only a few days, but he did NOT want to leave! He decided then that he wanted to work for United so we could live there . He can't wait to go back, and neither can I! Did you know CO is the healthiest state? Only like 17% of CO is overweight compared to like 40% of Mississippi (the fattest state)

| I'm glad you loved it here. I love it here more and more. I really hope we never have to move away from here. I'm getting more excited now that the Mts. are starting to get snow. Its so much more pretty here when the Mts. have snow on them. DH and I drove up Pikes Peak a few weeks ago. That was awesome. We want to take the train up during the winter.
