Everything is up hills and uneven pavement... especially the castle.

6.50 is a steal! I love how they have Strongbow on tap everywhere... I was never really a big cider fan, but I'm addicted to Strongbow now.

First class spoils you! The departure tax is pretty high, I want to say 90 pounds for first class?? Still is a lot cheaper than paying for a ticket, though.

Can't wait to see your pictures!
I need to add pics tonight when I get home from work. Nick is off again (although I can't remember where he's going!).

You're going to love our pics- there is one of Nick pointing at the "Do not sit on Mons Meg"! We wanted to sit on it too.

He and I had a Strongbow- it was ICE cold and delicious!

By the way, going home I listed in coach but there were plenty of seats so the gate agent gave me Business First! It saved us on an even higher departure tax!

I also got to take a few pics in the cockpit before we left. We were lucky, the Cpt was very nice and didn't mind snapping a few pics for us! I'm using it in my new sig!

Can't wait to see them!!

I guess there is a reason that the sign is there then, hehe.

I've found Strongbow on tap at a brew pub near my house, but it still doesn't seem as good as the Strongbow in the UK! Must be something about those "Extra Cold" taps they have.

Oooh, nice gate agent! In that case, I think the departure tax is 45 pounds. Since we took the ferry over to Ireland after visiting England & Scotland, we didn't have to pay it.

The new pic in your sig is cute! Brian has had some crummy CA's lately (except for the YYZ trip)... it's good that Nick had a good CA, I can only imagine what it would be like sitting up there when your legs are 6-8 hours. Yuck!!

Nick actuall buys Strongbow by the case now at a local beer distributor! We always have it chilling in the fridge!

We are very lucky the Cpt was nice. Nick has stories of some assholes he has flown with. Speaking of that, the guy who sat next to me in 1st going to EDI was a complete SNOB!! Why are some people like that? I guess he sized me up (no pun intended) and thought he was better than me. Oh well.

By the way, a few pics are up in the 'Jetgirl Photos' area!

Sooooo.. did you hang with the crew at all and what hotel were you guys staying at? How bout the food? meat and potatoes type or what was it like?

Looks like DAL will be going to Edinburgh next year (via JFK), so maybe that'll be one of the destinations we meet up at!!

No, we didn't hang out with the crew at all. They weren't anti- social, but they weren't overly friendly either!

We stayed at a fantastic hotel- Radisson SAS Edinburgh. We had a nice view out of our window and free wireless. The King sized bed was super comfy too!

We didn't do traditional Scottish food (no haggis for us). The fish and chips we had was a huge portion for the price we paid.

That would be great if we could all meet up in EDI next year!

So I just got to read this entire post. I was going to let you know you're always welcome to visit us here in Richmond! Not exactly a "vacation spot," but it has its moments of coolness. As I read more, I started getting really excited for you. That is SO awesome that you went on this trip! I'm jealous - but in a GOOD way. You guys all keep going on these kickass trips, and I'll live vicariously through you all, ok? The only places I seem to fly to lately are Illinois and Indiana. (I'll be in ORD tomorrow, actually, if any of you are out that way. ) Don't get me wrong: nothing wrong with either of those places. I was born and raised in IL. But, they're not exactly Scotland or France!

I'm so glad you posted some pix, too... you guys are so friggin cute together! How's the wedding planning coming?

Hey- I'm always looking for places to visit- they don't have to be outside the USA!

And I want to let you know, I was with Nick for 4.5 years before being able to *really* enjoy his flight benefits! When he was a flight instructor, obviously no bennies, then with Mesa I got useless buddy passes. OK, I did use them a few times but most of the time the flights were overbooked and I ended up buying my tix. Being able to use his CAL benefits has been a long time coming! I want to get in a lot more trips in the next year since I know things will change after I have a child (no I'm not pg yet).

Thanks for the sweet comments about my pics! I love looking at everyones' pictures so I hope we see more added!
Nick put his bid in for vacation and got April 2-8 so I guess we're getting married then! No real plans yet though. Thanks for asking!
