my backyard! are parks keep getting closed b/c west nile is rampant around here right now. of course we live right next to the river

actually, i'm a bit more worried about the malaria thing this morning than i have been the entire month of knowing where we're going....yea, we have insect repellent and all but all it takes is one bad mosquito and technically speaking, your screwed till you get the right type of drugs.

I figure we can easily just stay in the compound (hotel) for the main morning/nighttime and get out in the middle of the day when it's hotter than heck (supposed to be in the upper 80's) but wearing long sleeves and jeans in hot heat like that doesn't sound very comfortable.

Accra, Ghana

So far, i've found out that there isn't much wildlife to see unless you go far north in Ghana of which we'd never make in 48 hrs...there aren't as many mosquito's in the urban areas as rural (but STILL...) and they have some pretty neat market areas!!
