| Living in Arizona , I've been to the Grand Canyon 5 times !! All my vistors have to go see it.. you'll be here during our Temperatures of 100 to 110 F...I'm so sorry for that But you will be captured by one of the world wonders for sure !! There 's nothing like the Canyon , my DH actually had a summer job (during college) to take tourists over the canyon by plane, I believe they were 5 seater planes , you would not believe how many people got sick by doing that . Tours to the Canyon should be everywhere over in Vegas, What hotel will you be staying in? I've stayed in most of them, I hoping you'll like it there....STAY inDoors till it gets dark...you'll burn out there during the day !! Good Luck !! |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Oh WOW! I am soooo jealous!!! The Wynn is brand-spankin-new and is VERY VERY NICE... tell us all about it so that we can live vicariously through you! ![]() I might be wrong, so someone correct me if so, but if I remember correctly, the Wynn is a little bit off of the strip, so you might need a cab if you want to go to the strip. I could be way off though. Maybe I'm thinking of the Borgata in Atlantic City?? TOTALLY different place. Someone?? Anyone?? Bueller?? |

| The Wynn is just a little down the way from TI... it's pretty much at the end of the Strip. If you wanted to get to the middle of the Strip, like to Caesar's Palace, Paris, Bellagio, or anything further down, especially during the day, I'd take a cab!! (And please, wear comfy shoes you can walk several miles in Your feet will thank you!)SO and I went and saw Zumanity (Cirque de Soilel) - it's a GREAT show - it's all about love, very erotic The performers are amazing - I didn't know a human could do some of the things those guys and gals did! We went with his parents - they got sofa seats right by the stage; we opted to sit in the balcony and we actually had a much better view. They told us they couldn't take everything in, just what was right there in front of them... though, if you want to participate in the show, you'll have a better chance the closer you get. If you get sofa (which is still pretty cool!), try to get the ones that aren't right by the stage!! I got my tickets off the Zumanity website and picked them up at the box office; they were actually cheaper than the discounted ticket sites. Also, I've been to the Sigfried and Roy's Secret Garden at the Mirage several times - they've got tigers, lions, and dolphins! The dolphins are so cool, they do tricks just for the heck of it! You can even be a "trainer" (well, help out the real trainers) for a day, I saw a couple of people doing that and it looked like so much fun! Around $15 per person, but well worth it - bring a camera! I'd like to go up the Paris Eiffle Tower and see Penn and Teller at the Rio the next time I head out there... ![]() By the way, SO and I did a couples spa session at Platinum Hotel- it was so incredible! It MADE the trip for us! I know other hotels have them and I'd highly recommend, even if he's not a "spa" type of guy... Here's the review for it: Vegas Trip Hope y'all have a BLAST!! ![]() |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | If you can, fit in a flight over the hoover dam.. it's amazing!! the dam tour is "ok" but interesting too!! Helicopter flight will probably be a lot more fun than a plane flight as those are mainly narrated tours. for good lounges, try Caramel at Bellagio....or any lounge in Mandalay Bay is good (but expensive)...MGM also has some good lounges and there's one that's primo for martini's...for good tables/slots/video poker, go to the mid-strip hotels or places like "slots of fun" or "O'shea's" (down near Flamingo)...the less expensive hotels have better *odds* for gaming (excalibur, Flamingo, Frontier, Riviera (older end of strip)).. the four corners area is the most fun (excalibur, NYNY, MGM, Tropicana)...a good club (if you want to go clubbing) is Studio 54 (MGM) but be ready to dress to impress and NO tennis shoes or anything like that. They're very strict on the weekends. If you decide to rent a car, ask the rental agency for driving directions out to "the valley of fire" and/or "red canyon".. absolutely beautiful locations.. you'll see wild burro out at red canyon (we did) and you'll find petroglyphs in the valley of fire area. drinks are not cheap and the waitresses in the casino's are typically slow with bringing out the free drinks.. but drinks are more plentiful if you play the video poker "at the bar(s)" and/or late(!) night. tables are also a lot more fun late at night due to all the heavy drinkers losing their cashola. haha everytime you decide to play video poker or something *at the bar*, make sure you put in a 20 or they'll ask you to put more money in, in order to get a drink... doesn't mean you have to play that full $20 but at least put it in so they think "your trying" and all will be well and clear (we learned that a few vegas trips ago). and make sure you cash out before you leave ANY casino!! Have a great time!!! Every spa in every casino hotel is good but the salon's can be somewhat of a different story....it'll be hot but as long as your under shade (an umbrella), you'll actually feel just fine. The Wynn has a FABULOUS buffet... but go for lunch, not dinner cuz it's ALSO very expensive.. more expensive than ANY other casino hotel. if your getting per diem from the company, go to that buffet or bellagio's buffet like everyday! hahaha Don't even try the buffet at Bally's...we were WAY disappointed. make sure you do at least one night of staying up till dawn and gambling...it's after dark when vegas "lights up" and becomes "that" vegas!! you haven't been to vegas until you've stayed up till dawn and played and didn't even KNOW it was that late.. haha
