Summer is almost here and the family is trying to come up with new places to visit. Here's the criteria: 2 kids - 8 yrs and 4 yrs Must be able to drive or fly on Delta/Comair and actually get on the flight ![]() No longer than 5 days away from home Cost less than $2500 for hotel and food Considering Disney and Hershey Park. Thought about a Disney cruise but the kids might need passport and I'm unsure if we have enough time. Any unique ideas?

We're doing a Pennsylvania trip this year. We're going to Sesame Place (your kids are probably too old for that), but there are TONS of other things to do there! I'm really excited for our trip. I think all of us will enjoy it. ETA: go on the web and order travel brochures for some places you might be interested in. They'll give you tons of info on pricing, activities, etc. I just got our PA brochures and now i'm more excited than ever! They're free too!!

Czech, If your kids have never been to disney, I would most definately take them there. Not only is it great for kids,,, it's as equally fantastic for you and hubby. I was there (in orlando) last week for work from Wed. to Sat and we managed to get to downtown disney on Fri night then on sat before our flight and it made was soooo excited to have kids so they can experience all that! I wasnt even in the park, and had a ball. ![]()

What about Chincoteague Virginia? You have the beach, the national park, the pony penning, etc. Or you could move south to the beaches of North Carolina...

Thanks for all your ideas. I'm going to do some research tonight and then talk it over with the dh. The kids are pushing really hard for Disney. It's been 4 years since we've been there. We took our son to Disney 2 months after our daughter was born to do something special for him. It was great - but that was a week in October and it wasn't so hot. But this would be in August --- ahhh FL in August - I love it when my make-up slides off my face due to the heat and humidity.
