non-res. non-rev,, same thing right? haha! We all know what ya mean . Non- rev stands for non-revenue passengers. We fly as non-revs when we use our flight benefits because we dont pay. A very nice benefit huh?

I've just never heard it called non-res (non-reservation i assume). I've heard strand-by, stand-by, NRing, or non-rev

NO WAY.. even with you getting stranded the few times you did? I usually start joking with the gate agents and they were the ones that told me about it being called "strand-by" vs "stand-by".
