The Anasazi Inn is so nice. It's right in the middle of downtown. I'm not sure what spa opportunities they offer but the hotel and resturaunt are fab! My college roomie stayed there for her honeymoon and loved it too!

I've also heard great things about Bishop's Lodge.

Hey, thanks for the info. I will be sure to look them up. We just want a really nice experience. We would be very content to go to a nice hotel, go to the spa, have great food and wine and unwind....this trip we would be happy to never even leave the hotel. Full report to follow!

I called Anasazi Inn and they are booked for Memorial Day weekend. We looked at Bishop's Lodge and Spa and I was able to get reservations. We are really excited for our get together. We are really happy for the full service experience that it seems to offer. I will let you all know what we think.

Thanks to you both for your suggestions

so Dana, what do you do on your "relax" weekends? Amanda and I are thinking of going the same type of route at the end of the month but i (honestly) don't know what relaxing actually means or what to do besides sleeping.

Each trip is different. Depends on where I am going and who I am going with. For this trip, I am meeting up with my best friend from Kansas City whom I have not seen in almost 2 years. We want to be able to catch up on each others lives and RELAX as we both have high pressure, high stress lives (who doesn't??).

For us, it will be a quick weekend trip over Memorial Day weekend. We will fly into Albuquerque (1.5 hours and cheep from PHX) on Saturday morning and drive to Santa Fe. We both just want to go to a full service place that has a spa and workout facility and good food. This trip is all about de-stress.

Saturday we will do some shopping in Santa Fe while we waiting to check into our room. It is just a short trip into town by shuttle for dinner. Sunday will be workouts, Pilates, and a spa day ( same menu so we can still chat). Lunch and dinner more than likely will be at the resort. Monday a leisurely breakfast and lounge by the pool or spa and then leave in the evening. ( Did I mention the wine?, lots of wine.....) No cell phones, no pagers, no TV or internet. I want to leave that all behind. It takes some getting use to but once you have a taste of not being connected to the outside world and just focusing on you, it is an awesome feeling.

I don't do this kind of thing often but when I do, I want it first class all the way. This is my recharging weekend and I can't wait. Have you ever been to the Camelback Inn Spa? Very nice!!
