Default Nothing quite like sitting in an airport to make your morning!

so, we're trying to get from phx to fat (fresno) for doug's nephew's graduation.. we'd promise we'd do our best to try and get out there.. we missed the ticket option cuz it was before dh got his schedule.. so the flights this morning were really iffy, figured we'd give it our best shot...

come to find out, the MD90 that was supposed to fly the route was switched to an MD88 and it wasn't listed in the computer...so, had the first flight been an MD90, we could have made it - the MD90 has about 8 more seats than the 88 series).

now, we have a 2 hr sit to see if we can take the next flight and if that doesn't work, we go home cuz apparently, we can't get anywhere else.. all oversold! we looked at reno, vegas, bakersfield, portland, san diego.. all too close to call flight load wise.

we probably won't make it over for Demetrius's graduation which is really disappointing to both of us.. but at least we're doing all we can to try and get there, so hopefully he'll at least know that we did the best we could!!

I remember being upset when some of my relatives couldn't come to my HS graduation - it was pretty upsetting. then again, i'm a girl.. he's a boy..so maybe he'll see it different.. who knows!

Ahhh.. the joys of non-rev traveling! it only gets better since summer is practically here...

on another topic... somehow, i have to figure out how to slim down my "get up/get ready" time.. I was up at 3am to go through my 1.5 hr makeover and it's getting really tiring!! (no pun intended)... I already stopped using the straightening iron but that really only cuts 5 minutes out of my 1.5...I use 10-15 minutes just to freekin dry my hair (it's getting really long but i hate to cut it now cuz it's never been this long - wanna keep it going to see just how long i can stand it before i take the sheers to it myself! haha).

I'm sorry you missed it.

When I have an early flight, the hair is washed the night before so all I need is a quick shower in the AM. Clothes are laid out and everything I'm taking is already in the car.

Why didn't you buy refundable tix on SWA to San Jose or Orange County or LAX or Burbank?

AW! That stinks!

Well, I traveled from a business training trip from Kansas City and instead of going home to St. Louis, I tried to visit hubby for the weekend in Orlando. Soooo, Friday, I flew nonrev from Kansas City to Atlanta and the flight I tried to take was overbooked, and I was number 26 of 32 people on standby, got stuck there overnight, so this morning I couldn't get on the Atlanto to ORlando flight, and had to take the flight to Jacksonville, and hubby had to drive up and get me, AND, on our way home he got called from normal reserve to ready reserve. So, here I am at his crash pad by myself!!! BOOOOOOO!!!!

He hasn't been called in 2 months, but, as soon as I get here - POOOF!
