Neither my parents or my inlaws are coming for Thanksgiving.
We're having dinner with our friends -- other Comairians at their house.

Honestly, we prefer to be with our "adopted family" than our own!

we are non reving to WY to be with the inlaws, I am about to be grounded from flight so I know we won't be going for Christmas. The loads are looking great so I'm not to stressed about it.

The inlaws do a hugh extended family thing, which will be hard for me, plus they are HUGH turkey eaters, and I have a HUGH turkey adversion with a very sensative gage reflex so it should be intresting to see how that goes.

To add to it Lance and I have an issue that came up before he left and we haven't quite got it worked out, we won't have anytime alone togehter before being thrown to the family, nothing like airing the dirty laundry in front of the family!

John just got his bid back for december and he got his 5th choice line! He's off every m/t/w which guarentees him 2 days home! PLUS! He's off t/w/th for Christmas!! We've never done xmas before together, i'm really looking forward to it.

i'm going to attempt to cook (or maybe just get a honey baked ham) for us and his roommies plus any JC'ers or JG'ers who gets stuck in the SLC area without family

I get to go to Texas to see my BF. I'm so excited to see him! It's weird when he's away for longer than 2 weeks at a time.

so far, all of my tday plans have not worked out to my liking... looks like a quiet tday at the casa for me....might try to make it up to CVG and meet doug there while he's mid way through his FRA trip but we'll see....I have a ton of things i can be getting done before I start my monthlong "just about" Destination Anywhere Trip....

what stinks is that the FRA christmas market starts right AFTER he leaves FRA for JFK on Sunday and then he has recurrent which means i can't get there yet dang it! altho, i could always go on my own too, something i haven't thought of till now... hmmmmm...*brain overload*

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
Eric had the day off, but since his report was at o dark hundred today he had to leave for ATL yesterday afternoon. Not sure what part of late reports the PBS didn't get.
So, this year we decided that I was not going to have Thanksgiving at my house because of the baby. In fact I just wanted to skip it all together. But, since it is dh's fav holiday, she insisted on hosting it a day early for her son.
WELL... That morning my MIL phones me and tells me that my FIL is sick with a cold and she could not have dinner at her house. She asked if it would be okay to have it at my house 2 blocks over. HELLO!!! My house looks like a tornado went through it, baby stuff everywhere, parents are in town, dust everywhere and dishes were in storage.
This was the most laid back, dustiest Thanksgiving ever. I just wanted to crawl under the sofa from embarrasment when my FIL looked up at my 20+ft ceiling. looked at the ceiling fan and saw MAJOR cob webs everywhere.

My parents were in town from OH. And fiance` had a week off b/t his check ride and IOE so he was around, too! We were tour guides and showed mom and dad all the sites along the Big Sur coast and the Monterey area. The food was good, too. We just had a turkey breast since there were only 4 of us -- a wonderful option for a smaller turkey dinner!
