Default Memorial Day plans?

I know a few of you have talked about plans on other threads but I thought it would be a good idea to post a new thread here!

Amazingly enough Nick will be in town with me! I think it is the first time he's been off for Memorial Day in years. He has 5 days off in a row which must be quite nice! We were thinking of going to Inner Harbor in MD and meet up with another couple we know but it's not definite. His parents might be having a BBQ on Sunday and we might go there too. Who knows, maybe this will be the weekend our parents meet for the first time!

All I know is I want something grilled this wekend. I used to grill all the time in AZ but haven't done it since getting to PA.

well...that sunday before memorial, we'll be going to the Coca-Cola 600, here at Lowes Motor Speedway...(yes, I am into Nascar!)...but I have the day off...and I think we're going to have a BBQ at the Lake with my boss (G's old boss/friend), some flight instructors, and other aquaintences...it's on Lake Norman, which I have never been to, but if the weather is nice, I see some water skiing in my future for monday!

D may possibly come in on Friday, but he leaves on Sun. I work Memorial day, but we're probably going to have a big family dinner on Saturday because my brother leaves for Iraq again on Sunday...that was a SHORT 2 weeks. So I have to drop D AND my brother off at the airport in the same day. That'll be rough.

When in CLT go to NASCAR! We will all be at the Car Quest 300 on Saturday. We would have LOVED to have gone to the race on Sunday as well, but we have family flying in from CA for a visit who aren't much into the NASCAR thing.

I'm sure we will do a BBQ with the family over the weekend and just hang out. These are our first visitors since moving to the CLT area and are looking forward to it.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm going to a Cardinal's game on Saturday. I hope they play better than they have been.

The rest of my weekend will be pretty boring and lonely. DH and DD will both be gone all weekend. Don't know what I'll do.

We're heading up to Atlanta (6 hr drive) for the 3 day weekend. A stop at Ikea for me, the Aquarium for Kidzilla. It'll be the first 3 day weekend we've been able to spend with DH in 14 months, since he started training. Trying to hook up with DH's friend who is on reserve in Atlanta, but it sounds like Melanie (Mnewby) will be stealing him away to PA instead...

I am heading to NYC for my annual trip (this will be my 8th year), dh is able to come for one night (it will be his 1st time) so we are going to try and pack as much in 24hrs as possible; Ground Zero, Empire State Bulding, Statue of Liberty. Going to see 2 shows, eat at my fav restaurant and see some sites.

All I can say is please please let me make my flight there. It is a non-stop from LIT - EWR and it is booked full . I have a back up ID95 on Delta, LIT - CVG DL 6324 then CVG - LGA DL 5108 (5/25) don't know if any of you Delta Ladies out there can check the loads for me or not.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Terri

I'm gonna try to head to Madrid with doug but we'll see cuz loads are "ok" at best and i wouldn't get back till wed afternoon which is not what i told my office (DOH!)... I guess i should have looked up the plane flight/times earlier. that sucks.

altho, i'm not too sure i want to go on a 24 hr layover. that's a really short amount of time for such long flights.
