Ha! Found the costume on ebay, only worn once (of course!) for $20 so I snagged it! He looks SOOO darn cute in it! Although he does look cute in everything so that wasn't really a surprise! I also got dh and I some costumes off ebay! I'm going to be a pregnant nun and he's going to be a drunk priest! Can't wait to see the look on all our (Mormon!) families faces! I have never been able to get dh to dress up, so this is a first for us!

This year I don't think I'm doing anything... which is pretty scary if you knew me. Usually I dress like something strange. A few years ago I dressed as a toilet (yes, a toilet), and I also was a giant tea bag. Last year Nick didn't want to dress up as anything too "weird" so we were 'lost luggage'. We were a big hit at the parties we went to!

Tea Bag? How did you do that?

I usually get into the swing of things for Halloween, but am letting things slide this year. I guess my little sister is growing too old for 'cheesy costumes' so I dont have any excuses.

Hmmmm- I went to the fabric/crafts store (Joann, Etc)and bought a white see through material that was stiff (I think it's called flocking?) and then I kept looking at a Lipton tea bag and added the details so the costume looked "just right"! I made it double layered so I put a brown trash bag between the layers so it looked like tea. I then added the Lipton tag with a huge "staple". I know it sounds bizarre!
I would love to post a pic but this computer is driving me crazy!
My "good" computer broke so now I am using my old one w/ Windows 95. It is so slow.

Thanks for the directions. I've made all of sorts of costumes for my sisters and I. We've been jelly beans, grapes (green, red and white), popcorn, soda can, and M & Ms (movie concession stand) and we all love tea, so maybe next year we can be a tea bag, sugar packet and lemon???

ok...so here's a question.. with all the different costumes that are worn on halloween... and with undrivable costumes (you can't wear em when your driving).. how do you go about getting ready when you have a odd shaped costume like that? or do you have someone drive you to where you need to be?

I've never worn a "no can drive" type costume.. so i'm just wondering - even after the fact!

When I was popcorn (think life-size, red and white container with paper mache popcorn coming out of it), it didnt fit in the car, so I had to walk it to a party. When we were grapes, we prepared our faces and outfits at home and then constructed the outfits so that we could put them on easily. I guess, for the most part, my costumes have layers and you do as much at home and simplify as much as you can so finishing the costume on the road isnt too much work.
