Help w/ Party Planning

My mom is turning 50 in 2 weeks, and my MIL is turning 60 in 2 months, so we are having huge parties for both of them. For each one, we are going to have each sibling bring a portion of flowers, balloons, pictures, and their favorite memories, which I will use the pictures and memories to make an album. So there will be 50/60 flowers, 50/60 balloons, 50/60 memories and pictures, etc. I hope that made sense. Anyway, I think I'm going to get one of those home use chocolate fountains, and serve that along w/ some light sandwichs or something. Does anyone have any other ideas or thoughts or anything?

This might mean a lot more work than you have time for, but I think it would be pretty cool if you could scan all the pictures and make a Power Point Presentation that you could have showing on a wall, so everyone can enjoy the pictures without having to crowd around an album.

Also, maybe you could find a CD of the music that was popular in their teens/20's and play it in the background.

Just a couple of ideas. Whatever you decide to do, I hope everyone has a great time. It sounds like a lot of work, and I'm sure they will both really appreciate it.

I love that idea....then you could get other people into it and even have htem do "picture skits"... what lead up to the photo or the story behind the photo and just neat little "i remember when" type things.

yea, it is definitely more work but it would be enjoyed by all and esp the birthday girls!
