Default 30th Birthday?

Hi everyone

My DH's 30th birthday is Tuesday. I have no idea what to get him. He doesn't need anything (we usually just go out and buy what we need).

I'll make him a cake and take him out to dinner. Since we moved back home after going to college down south, we don't have friends up here so a party is out of the question (he wouldn't want one anyway...he is not that type of person).

Any ideas of something special I could get him? I know it is such a vague question He is so hard to shop for. For xmas I got him a new suitcase for work!

Hope everyone is doing well. I'll post sometime this weekend about our trip to Kauai, Hawaii last week. It wasn't the best weather...if you happened to watch the weather last week they had major flooding in Hawaii!

Robyn

Well my DH's 40th birthday is coming up and I think I'm leaning toward a corded drill! Romantic, huh?

You said you went to college down South? Where? I'm from NC.

Let me know what you come up with!

I once bought my husband a dual compound laser guided mitre saw.

Course, that was before we lost half our pay. For my dh's 38th yesterday I bought him a movie (the special edition of Office Space) and a new pair Levis. (On sale at Kohls.)

How about a nice watch? I gave dh one for valentine's day several years ago. A great gift that he still wears today.

I just had the perfect idea, Jimmy Buffett tickets. Of course, I didn't know they went on sale 2 hours ago...already sold out. Oh well, he'll be lucky to get anything anyway, I am not happy with him right now...see post in vent area.

The watch is a good idea--I bought my DH a watch for his 35th. I got him a Titanium Citizen Worldtime Eco-Drive. It is really cool because it has settings for all major cities & with the push of a button the hands change to the city's time (perfect for a pilot). It also is an "eco-drive" which means it never needs a battery--it recharges with light. My DH loves it. I bought it online (I think it was about $250 + shipping), but they are available at any nice watch store. However, the watch stores around here were much more expensive!

I have to ditto that! my hubby loves his titanium citizen! he easily updates me on what time to set my watch when we get on a plane to go anywhere!

so not only is it a benefit for him, but also for us! haha
