Need help with Wedding colors!!

Hey everyone!
My fiance and I are getting married this coming December and I am trying to figure out wedding colors. I dont want to do the Holiday theme thing that I have seen so many other winter weddings have and I kind of wanted my colors to be almost spring-like. The two ideas I am thinking of are either lime green and brown or sky blue and brown. I know the blue and brown would be easier to do for a winter wedding, but I have been leaning towards the lime green color. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do the green and brown colors without it looking like spring?? (Especially since the place we are getting married is going to have a few decorations already up and they are "wintry decorations") Any help or ideas would be great!!
