September Wedding, What to Register?

ok time to ressurect this thread! John and I need to register for stuff...we (i) are (am) thinking on registering at bed bath and beyond (especially after reading tanya's endorsement) and macy's. the thing is, I don't really know *what* to register for...like, is there a list out there or something? I looked at the BBB one and it's like a mile long! We don't need that much stuff. plus how do you pick out dishes ... i mean, who knows what colors we're going to have in our *house* (we'll be in an apartment for a few years) plus what if you get sick of the pattern? what are some good brands to look for (dishes, glasses, sheets, uh...other stuff)
