| Welcome! I'm a furloughed American F/A. Class 01-09, 6 years with Eagle before that. How long have you been with AA? Were you displaced to STL or did you want to be there? |

| We are definitly getting out of NW at the right time! Tim was already furloughed once from PCL after 9/11. I was class 99-40. I actually volunteered to go to STL, since I was getting married and would be living in DTW. STL was closer than DFW. AA also had 6 or 8 flts a day between STL and DTW, that we were supppose to keep. I learned the hard way.... never volunteer for anything at an airline. 3 months after I went to STL they went nuts reduceing our flying. NO more DTW-STL. Do now I'm stuck there I can't get out. At least I have my PLOA's and won't need to go back until Jan (if I go back). Where were you based with AE? My Dh was at Eagle from 98-01, he was based in San Jaun (ATR) and ORD (RJ). Jenn |

| Yeah, that's tough. Commuting can be SUCH a pain. I was ORD with Eagle my entire time there (Nov 95 - Mar 01). When I went to AA I was ORD initially, but I was 9 days behind all the TWA people, and I got furloughed right away after 9/11. I was in that group that got recalled for 6 months then furloughed again. I got displaced to LGA for my recalled 6 months, and spent those 6 months commuting IND-LGA. It was a horrible commute. I was almost glad to get kicked to the street again. Why didn't you go to ORD? Even closer to DTW than STL. No transfers available? I remember waiting on that transfer list in 2002 while I was in LGA. There were a few transfers going to ORD the first couple months I was there, but I ended up marooned as the transfer door slammed shut. With only 5 years recall rights, and 3 of those years gone (my 3rd furlough anniversary was the 15th of this month) I think I can pretty much kiss my career at AMR bye-bye. All the TWA people are in front of me, and while some of them are so old they'll probably be using walkers to get from the airplanes to ops I just don't see the company getting through all the numbers ahead of me within 2 years. It can't happen, there's just too many. |

He is currently out with an on the job injury (broken foot).... the captain landed too hard. (at least that's what he tells everyone!) We have a good time here, and there is a great sense of community and support. Glad you have joined us! |
