| Hello Ladies! I just cut and paste this message from the Yahoo! site, so I apologize to those of you that are on both sites....it'll be the same story! Does anyone around here remember me? For those of you that don't (and you new people that I haven't met...) let me re-introduce myself. My name is Jessica and I am married to JetBlue FO (hopefully CA, soon) Jason. We have one son, Benjamin, and he is 21 mos. old. I am a former Flight Attendant, but currently a SAHM. Now....let me catch everyone up on why I have been missing from the boards. I think the last thing I posted was that I miscarried while in Cincinnati for my mom's wedding. We took some time and recovered from that and got on with our lives. It was one of the hardest things to go through, but Ben was innocently here just trying to have fun and he really helped us deal with it! Since I was no longer pregnant and Jason was coming up on some major time off (he'd been bidding lots of hours in anticipation of being able to get almost a month off during the holidays), we decided to get Ben a puppy for Christmas (more on that later). Two weeks later was my 30th bday and it really hit me hard after everything I had just gone through. Then it was time to get ready for Thanksgiving, I was hosting my first big dinner and all of Jason's family was here, so I was a little stressed. The week before, Jason and Ben both got sick and I was left to all of the preparations by myself. I got everyone healthy and fed on Thanksgiving and was getting ready to send Jason back to work, when on that Sunday, Ben decided to try to fly (just like his daddy) and jumped off the steps. We spend the evening in the ER and it turns out he broke his leg. So...he was in a cast for 4 weeks. Jason took another week off work to help me with Ben until everyone was used to the cast. Jason came home from his trip and was then off for three and a half weeks. We went to pick up the puppy three days before Ben's cast came off. So, on Dec. 23rd, we took Ben back to the hospital to have his cast off and the poor little guy is SO afraid of Doctors now, he threw up all over himself, me, Jason and the tech. Christmas, like Thanksgiving, was at our house....so while trying to house train a puppy I also had to get the house company ready (thanks to Flylady, it pretty much was!). The dog go into some wrapping paper and had an allergic reaction and didn't sleep for two nights straight. Then we had one night where he slept all the way through and now he's getting up just once during the night.....just like haivng a baby all over again! New Year's came and went rather uneventfully and tonight I packed Jason up and sent him back to work. He's only been on three 2day trips since Nov. 1.....the house is eerily quiet, but I have my fearless puppy to keep me company! So, in a nutshell, my life has been one crazy week after another! But...things look to be settling down a bit (knock on wood!) and I hope to be back around here a little more regularly again! |

| I'm starting to get back into the swing of things now...although I had a rough time this morning. Its like I just forgot how to function while Jason was at work. I couldn't get anything straight in my head this morning. Ben was just looking at me like "what are we going to do today, Mom?" and I just had this blank look on my face like: "huh? you mean I'm in charge now? All by myself? What?"........ But I took a few deep breaths and I'm feeling a little more in control! We're headed to the mall, I'm going to do some shopping and let Ben play in the play land... We got a Yellow Lab puppy. He is 10 1/2 weeks old, his name is "Curry" |
