| Hi, Melissa! Glad to hear of another ASA couple here in ATL. I've been here for 6 years now, since my DH is based here. He's been with ASA for 8 years but just upgraded in November and really enjoys flying as a Captain for ASA. Atlanta is NOT a place I enjoy living in, however. A lot of ASA guys commute, and I can understand why. I have a job here, and my DH and I decided that it would be best if we lived in domicile to eliminate the "potential" commuting nightmare. My parents moved here from Virginia (my home state) last year to help out with daycare for my son and daughter. If you have any questions about the area, let me know and I'll be happy to help you out! ![]()

| Welcome to the board! Im also 26 and have been with my bf for a little over 2 years. My bf used to work for ASA, but now he is with Spirit and we live in FLL. He is facing a furlough and who knows who he'll be flying for next. Anyways, he said that ASA is usually 'fat' on reserve guys so hopefully he won't be gone that much. Welcome!

| Welcome! We just moved from ATL where DH was with ASA for 8 years. You will get some pretty good advise here and realize you are not alone. |

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Hey stacey! What CRJ does your husband fly? What's his name and I'll ask Graham if he knows him! Graham is a CA on the 50 seater. He was FO on the 70 seater. Where in Virginia did you live? I've been in ATL for most of my life. I moved here when I was 3 and been here ever since, except for college. Thanks for writing! |

| I'm new too, it's great to have the support of all these nice ladies. I'm a newlywed also (3 years) but we're older 51 & 47. Hubby went back to Delta last year after being furloughed since 9/11. Keeping busy is the best way to keep from getting down. Working, furthering your education, working out at the gym, going to church or decorating the home are ways I handle it. I have teenagers at home so I'm not lonely all the time. Having a pet was nice company also. Good luck to you!! Carol Last edited by MarkysWife; 07-29-2008 at 10:51 PM. Reason: Syntax |
