| Hi, I am new to this forum and found it when I was on jetcareers.com. My husband was recently hired as a FO for PSA with US Airways. He started training in March, passed in May, finished IOE 2 weeks ago and was furloughed last Thursday. It has been quite a year so far. We have 2 children, Elizabeth 4 and Matthew 2. We live in Michigan and Brad is based out of Dayton, OH. We are hoping for a short few months off, but realize that this could turn into a very long road . | Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Hi, insert your name here ! Wow- all of that happened in a pretty short time frame. This industry is out of control! We heard that Nick might be furloughed but who knows. I guess we can only wait and see and try to prepare the best we can. Welcome to the board!

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Hell and Welcome... Sorry to hear about your husband, I know a couple of FO PSA'ers that are on edge because they too might get furloughed...my BF and I live near Charlotte, NC he flies with Republic out of Cleveland...just stay strong and keep looking to the next day! I will be thinking of your family during these rough aviation days... Cassie

| Thanks! I am sure things will work themselves out. There are a couple options, stay laid off for a few months, see if he gets called back and work on his CFI. Try applying with Skywest or Republic because things still seem ok with them, but it would be our luck that he gets onboard and then furloughed again. We will just take it one day at a time. I just feel lucky that he got the chance to fulfill his dream, even if it was short lived. Last edited by ce_wyant; 06-18-2008 at 08:21 PM. |

| My DH interviewed with Mesaba in December, but he got a letter from them saying to re-apply in 6 months. I had forgotten about them, but since it has been 6 months that is a good idea. Maybe since he was hired and went through training with PSA it might be a different outcome this time. Thanks! |
