Default Hello, newbie from MA

Hello Everyone,
My name is April and I joined this group to better understand the profession my husband chose . Jason and I have been together for 6 years and married for 3 of them. He is a FO on the CRJ-700 and flies for ASA aka Delta Connections. He has been doing it for a year and a half so he is pretty new to it to. We are learning together . We have no kids yet, but we do have a very, I mean very needy dog. Right now I am pursuing my Masters in Justice Administration and work as a school administrador with goals of going to law school. I am also a huge baseball fan or I should call myself a nut.

April

Welcome!

I'm Robyn- currently I am staying home with our son who is 2 months old, but I am a middle school science teacher. My DH is currently a CA for ExpressJet (Continental Express) based in EWR. He is "swimming in the pool" for a Southwest class date.....it has been a long wait, we are hoping he will be there by this time next year.

We live in NH but I grew up in MA. We love living in New England even though commuting sucks....

You said you were a huge baseball fan.....RED SOX right??!!!

Well dont hate me, I am a yankees fan and Jason is a red sox. Dont ask me how we get along. Thats cool about Southwest, that is Jason #4 pick when he wants to apply to the big guys. Commuting isnt to bad, before we moved to New Bedford, we lived in Woodbridge, VA, I am sooo use to it. Whats sad is how I can go to any airport and know my way aroudn for the first time, scary.

My DH is a die hard Yankees fan. He grew up on Long Island in NY. As for me, I like both the Nationals and the Orioles. (I grew up in VA, outside DC).

Welcome and I hope you like it here!

I guess I'll forgive you for that! That must be fun living in MA but being a Yankees fan! We are HUGE Red Sox fans....we don't miss watching a game during the season!

Where does you DH commute to? DH commutes from MHT to EWR and it is hard most of the time. Sometimes he has to drive....he has done the MHT-CLE and BOS-IAH commute as well when he was based in ExpressJet's other bases. He has been commuting for 9 years, but we love living in NH. We might look into moving once he gets with Southwest (after I have put in 10 years teaching in NH) so that he can be home more and not have to commute. He misses Jack so much....it is so different now that we have a son.

Thank you ladies for the nice words.

Rgphib-It is ok, his family accepts me as a yanks fan. He communtes to ATL, so we have funing either driving to PVD or BOS. He is from this area so he wants to try to stay as long as he can. If he gets hired by a bigger airline then we may move. The commuting is poopy, thats my take on it so far.

chi829-My uncle live in panama city. Jason wont be in the left seat for atleast another year and a half maybe more. What plane does your husband fly? maybe he will fly with jason.
