He is really interested in NetJets Actually, and if he does that, then yes he has no plans to move from them. He has looked at fractional and hes working on tryin to get the hours needed for them. So hopefully and time will tell, that we will go that route. Thanks for the input! I need as much help I can get with him...hehe

Hi again!! If he does get into NetJets I think you will find that you are both very happy with the choice!! The minimun hours for application is 2500 hours (which I am sure he knows if he has considered flying with them). There definitely is a blanket pilot shortage coming up in the industry which may help but I will say NetJets has become much more competitive since 9/11 and since they have passed two new wonderful pilot contracts in the past few years. They actually have many guys on board that left the airlines to come over to NetJets for the pay and lifestyle benefits. NetJets currently has approx 3000 pilots and are looking to increase the force by 350 more in 2008 so now may be a great time if he can get his hours up a bit because they have had periods in recent history of having to freeze acceptance of new applications due to the overwhelming number of pilots trying to get in!!! This may be a great window of opportunity though!! At any rate, as the other half I highly recommend NetJets as you have so many options with planes, schedules, and you as a family can choose one of 100 bases that you want to live at... it's completely on your terms!! Not to mention you can change your base if you want or need to move without bidding... you call the shots! We decided to move from Columbus to Baltimore on a whim and off we went... he just told the company and they changed his base!! Then we did the same when we decided to come back to Ohio. Hard to find in this industry. The majority of the guys we know on board agree that they will never leave either. If your BF is serious about NetJets and has any questions I'm sure my husband would be more than happy to help out. The guys are so supportive of one another and truly help one another out quite a bit as they all rotate co-pilots each tour based on who is on duty and available to scheduling which builds such a great network for them on the road. Very friendly and helpful guys for the most part!! Let us know if he has ???? Happy New Year!!!

Hi Brandi, welcome!

I hear corporate is always a practically 24/7/365 job...it's just the nature of that business.

Welcome, Brandi!

My bf lives in DFW right now. I am a teacher and have been out to live with him during my summer break. Nothing like a little 120 degree weather to really make a vacation In what part of the Metroplex are you planning on living?
