|  Newbie Hello Ladies, Just wanted to introduce myself. My DH has worked for ExpressJet for the last 3 years. We moved to the Houston area 2 1/2 years ago from Northern California, kicking and screaming the whole way. There's no doubt that we would like to go back someday. We have two sons, 12 and 3 years old. I'm a SAHM, but previously I taught middle schoolers. I may go back and substitute now that the little one has started preschool.  | Re: Newbie Hi Nancy! I think I know you from another site! Welcome to Jetgirls! There seems to be a lot of ExpressJet girlfriends/wives on the board. I've been a member for 4 years since my fiance was a flight instructor, then I saw him through 3 years working at Mesa Air. Now that we're engaged we are talking about kids so I know I'll be coming here for support when I'm taking care of the kids as a part time "single" mom!

 | Re: Newbie Welcome Nancy! Fellow ExpressJet wife here! My name is Robyn, DH has been with Express since 1999. He just got hired by Southwest in June, so we are now "swimming" in the pool- we are hoping for an early 2008 class date. I am an 8th grade science teacher- for now! Baby boy (our first baby) is due in January. I plan on taking the rest of the school year off and then a year or two after that.....I can take up to two years off and still have my job in my school district which is really nice. DH is a commuter....we live in NH. He has been based in IAH, CLE and now he is back in EWR. At least if you want to go back to California, there are bases out there now..... There are a TON of other ExpressJet wives on this board..... Welcome again! You will really like it here!

We are currently living in SC, but were born and raised in Northern California (Placer Co, Sacramento Co)- infact both of our families still reside there. I miss CA terribly, (not the housing prices), but the family and friends. I am a SAHM to four little ones ages 3,5,7 and 9 who are keeping me rather busy these days with school, scouts, soccer, and softball schedules. Glad to have you and welcome! |
