Hi Everyone!

So I am totally new to this whole thing. I have been with my pilot boyfriend Matt for a little over 3 1/2 years now. I have seen him on Jetcareers.com a lot since he was trying to break into the aviation field.

Today, Matt had his interview with Piedmont Airlines and got hired! I am so happy for him because I know this has been his dream since he was little. I knew what I was getting into when I met him, but now that it is finally here, I'm freaking out!

As soon as he called me and told me the news, I was happy for him. But soon after the phone call ended, I welled up with tears just thinking about what is to come for us.

That's when I found this website. And I am so happy I did! Hopefully everyone here has some good advice for getting me through this. Matt starts his training on September 21st and will be gone at least six weeks!

I'm not sure if I can handle it. We live together now and I have just gotten so used to having him around. I asked him about getting weekends at home and he said the sim was backed up and it probably wouldn't happen a whole lot.

So anyway, to wrap things up here, that's why I'm here and I'm happy to be here! I look forward to meeting anyone and getting some good advice from everyone!
