| Hello, Just wanted to introduce myself. Stumbled across this website a few weeks ago while reading some other airline messageboards. (I have a sad addiction.) My fiance is a checkairman at a regional. I met him when I was a flight attendant there. We live in Virginia with our gigantic Great Dane. Well, she's not that big, but everyone who meets her seems to think she is. Sorry for not doing the intro sooner! Our wedding is just over a month away, and I've been wrapped up with all that goes along with it. I know it's sad to say this, but I can't wait for it to be over! I'm sure I should be telling you more, but those are the basics I can think of now. I've read many of your postings, and I think you all are a really nice, caring group! Look forward to chatting with you guys. Last edited by madlibs; 04-14-2008 at 11:37 PM. |

I've been with my boyfriend since 2002 so I've been through the flight instructing thing and the regional thing. Congrats on your wedding! I'm not sure if I'll ever have one!

| Wow, you guys rock! Talk about making someone feel welcome. That was fast! And how silly am I? Introduce myself without giving you my name... it's Libby, by the way. I definitely am marrying my best friend. I still can't believe we found each other. When I started the flight attendant training I remember the instructor saying, "Oh those pilots are just going to love you." I said, "Yeah... great. I'd never date a pilot." ... and here I am marrying one. Funny how things work out. I went to college at the University of Illinois to become a pilot. I didn't continue all the way, (switched over to psychology), but I guess it worked out for the best. I don't think I'd have ever met my fiance if things didn't go the way they did. I was in a bad relationship for many years, so I knew as this one progressed that it was, without a doubt, not only the right one for me, but the perfect one, too. Finding my fiance completely changed my thinking on relationships, and I don't think ANYone out there should ever settle. If we can be this happy and compatible, other's can, too. Ok... enough. I don't even know where that came from. Caught me at a sappy moment, I guess. ![]() Last edited by madlibs; 07-09-2007 at 03:01 PM. |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Hi Libby! Nice to "meet" you! I'm Robyn, I teach 8th grade science. My DH is currently a CA for ExpressJet based in EWR (soon to be a Southwest FO). He has been with Express since 1999 and before that did most of his flight training in college (he got his private pilot in high school). We have been married for almost 5 years (August 10) but we have been together since 1996 so I have pretty much been with him since he started his flight career. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! And Australia! How exciting! One of the guys I teach with got married last week and they went to Australia for 2 weeks for their honeymoon....they were so excited to go! Great Dane huh! Those dogs look so sweet! We want to get a dog at some point (we love Vizslas) but we will wait until after baby comes in January. Good luck with the wedding! And welcome to the board. |

| Hi Libby! I didn't introduce myself to you either when I replied to your other post (smack to my head!)!!!! I run Human Resources for a company that works with women with eating disorders. We're actually looking at Richmond as a spot for an outpatient facility! DH is a Bus driver, scuba instructor, Aikido second degree black belt, and great bartender and we have a soon to be 24 year old son. Last edited by roz; 07-09-2007 at 08:49 PM. |
