| Hello to all my Jetgirls, For starters my name is Bambi and I am 35 years old. All throughout my early life I found myself in some type of airplane. I got my private pilots license when I was 18 and never stopped. I flew as a CFI all throughout college and earned most of my hours. Not long after college I was offered a job to die for at that age. A long time family friend owned a company that flew part 135 operations. They 100% took me under their wing and got me flying. I was typed in the Lear but found myself wanting to get in the Gulfstream most of the time. As time went by, life got even better. I found myself sitting right seat in a GIV and soon to be typed in the GV. After years of flying for them I met who I thought my husband would be. It was one of those love at first sight type deals. Turned out after dating for almost 5 years he thought he would move onto other things. He was the most wonderful thing in the world and I would have done anything for him. After finally getting over him and attempting to date again I ran into trouble. The financial situation of the company I was working for was going down the tubes. It was a matter of time before I would loose my job. I barely was able to squeeze out my type rating for the GV before I lost my job. About 2 weeks before I lost my job I was in FL for an overnight trip. I was out eating in a restaurant the morning of our scheduled flight when I was approached by an older gentleman. We went on to talking about aviation as if a normal conversation. It was not until later on when he dropped the bomb on me. He informed me that he owned a Gulfstream V and traveled the world for his business, but mostly flew from FL to Canada. We exchanged phone numbers and information and spoke a few days after that. After endless talking and flying me back out to FL a few times everything was finalized and I had a new job. It has been about 6 years now that I have flown for him and his family. It is a wonderful type job and I am very much appreciated by him and the family as much as I appreciate them. Last year the current captain retired which was my ticket into the left seat. My FO is a wonderful father of 5 and I could not ask for a better person to work with. Basically there were a few years in my life that I didn’t know what to do. I keep thinking that I have found a great guy than the lies and drama start. I am happy to say that I am single and have found new love for my job. I am so happy that I found this website and I look forward to contributing to anything I can! - Bambi |

| what an amazing story ! What a movie that would make !Welcome to the site, I love it here and its brought alot of relief and laughter to my scary "wife of a pilots life" My Husband of 3 months left today for Ground School Training in Houston, he'll be flying ERJ-145's for Express Jet, He'll be gone for 45 plus days, almost as long as we've been married . My Husband has always had some sort of flying in his life. When he was young he was taken to the Air Bases in Germany and watched the planes for hours (he's an Army brat) and then later got a job during his school years working with an air balloon company in Arizona, Went to flight school right out of HS and then worked as a plane tour guide over the Grand Canyon, later he became a Flight instructor for Oxford Avaition/Sebena (when I met him ) He recently got hired on with EXJ and here we are today. I work full time in the Mortgage/Banking world and I support him financially through training. We are excited about our future and love each other so much. ![]() Its nice to meet you and hope you find this site encouraging !

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | What a story, it is always amazing to hear about all the ups and downs of life, and see that in the end it comes together so nicely...my BF flies for his previous private pilot here in the carolinas, fortunately I have him home every night, and I am happy that he is doing what makes him happy. right now, they are looking into getting a Meridian, and then upgrading to a Cessna Mustang...I too love to fly, and will someday get my Private...but that is only after I finish my Biology degree here at UNC-Charlotte(fingers crossed in Dec) so until then, I sit back in the plushy seats and enjoy my flight! So glad to have you here, and get a prospective from the 'other' side... Cassie

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Welcome to the site Bambi and it's nice to learn about you. I am Amanda and I've been on the site for 4 year since the early stages of my relationship with my boyfriend Nick. He was a flight instructor when I met him and now flies internationally on the 757/767 which was his dream. We recently relocated from PHX to PHL and I am still getting used to things hee, like humidity!
