This is kind of unrelated, but along the lines of lists and things that you want to do. There’s this neat idea called 101 in 1001. Basically you make a list of 101 things that you want to do/accomplish/whatever, and you have 1001 days to complete them. I think I’m going to do it!

Thanks Lara! Can you believe the one thing that might keep me out of the program is the fact that when I got my BA, my college gave me credit for an English AP class? It shows up as a transfer credit on my Wellesley transcript. And then I have a freshman writing class on there as well.

When the school I'm applying to transferred my Wellesley credits over, they did not give me credit for the English AP, and they transferred my freshman writing class over as English Comp II. But there is no English Comp. I on my transcript, and that class is a prerequisite to the nursing program. No one can seem to give me a definitive answer as to whether or not that disqualifies me for the program. I'll be disappointed, but fine if I don't get in because they have more qualified candidates, but I'll be just a little pissed if I don't get in because of that one credit. I mean, English Comp I is a prereq for English Comp II, so you'd think they would agree to count it. Grrr!

Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread like that.

Oh that's okay, I did the hijacking, not you! Why don't you just take a quickie Jr. College online English Comp. class? That way they won't have any arguement. One of my friends going through nursing school here in San Antonio started out going to school in New Orleans, but had to transfer here due to Katrina. In New Orleans, they don't require an American History course, but here they do! So now, a month before she graduates, they tell her she needs this course and she's busy trying to clep out of it! It might be better just to get that class out of the way so there's no arguement later.
