Las Vegas

I am headed out to Vegas on Monday. I am driving with my best friend since we are going to get her back to her apartment. We are thinking about 2 1/2 days for the trip, so we don't kill ourselves driving forever. I will be flying back to Illinois on Friday/Saturday...the flight leaves at 11:56 from Vegas. I will only have a couple of days out there, but I am really looking forward to my first trip out there ever.

Have a great time! DH and I just got back from a couple days in Vegas- it was our first trip there, too. We rented a car and drove out to Hoover Dam, that was pretty interesting. Boy was it hot - I think it was around 110F. So be sure to take your sunscreen!

Hoover Dam should definately be on the "must do" list... it's just too bad that they don't show you as much as they used to show pre 9/11 - at least i think they used to let you see more vs the way it is now.

The water level right now is absolutely amazingly low, it keeps me wondering how low it can go before the force loads fall apart!! that would be scary!!

and how come they don't sell any dam bait there?? haha

I got back yesterday. Flew the red eye in so that I could get back and try to get a bit a of rest before a wedding last night. I had an absolutely amazing time. We saw the Hoover Dam, but did not do the tour. I saw the water show (fountain thing), the show on the ceiling on freemont, and visited a few of the casinos. NYNY was probably the prettiest. Also took the required picture by the Vegas sign. Went to Rum jungle and gillys. I would love to go back and spend some more time out there.

Glad you had a good time!!! rum jungle looks really neat.. is it a restaurant or a club? I've been into the russian place next door and they had all sorts of great vodka's there.

It is a restuarant that turns into a club. The last sitting for dinner is 9:30, at 11 it is a club.
