Network JC

So Doug and I held Network JC in Vegas over the weekend in where the members of Jetcareers and Pilotfamilies were invited to join in a networking event and a few other weekend events...

We all met up on Friday.. some folks went out to Nobu (Sushi), Doug and I hit the buffet! Then we met up to go to Studio 54, but we had at least 30 people show up and considering how large the group was, we decided to go somewhere more talk friendly.. so we walked over to NYNY and went to the 9 Fine Irishmen establishment...it's very authentic with Irish beer like Murphy's,Harp, Bass, Guiness and an actual Irish band (from Ireland - accents and all). Some of us ended up staying up till 3am playing craps at Excalibur.

Saturday was a sleep in day (at least for me and doug since we were out till 3), the event was later that afternoon... out of 65 registered, 55 showed up which i thought was excellent turnout! of those, I think 11-15 were girls/wives/girlfriends etc. Pretty darn successful if you ask me, so much so, that we deemed it ok to do again next year.

Saturday night was party night...we started out with getting some food, trying the craps tables again and going out for some quite interesting karaoke... there was this old man who sang superfreak and it was just odd!! haha there were a couple of great singers, of which I got video of.

After that, we strolled down the strip stopping at each casino's bar, meeting up with people along the way and trying out luck until the weeeeeee hours of the morning (7am actually)...needless to say, it was a long weekend, it was a fun weekend and something I can only do once a year at my age! hahaha

I should have the video's up this weekend, i think.. and the rest of Tony's photos will hopefully be up soon (he was our "official" NJC photographer).

As we did this year, we will open Network JC up to the members of PilotFamilies and their spouses for next years event. We're thinking possibly next October. it never hurts to keep your husbands networking girls!! and putting a face to name is never a bad thing! Please let me know if you are interested and I'll keep you informed!

Jetcareers & PilotFamilies will also be hosting some other "unofficial" events around the country this year - we're working on them now... I will keep you all informed on when/where.. but we're looking at Michigan & Florida right now.
