Default Low fat Shepherd's Pie recipe?

Anyone have one? Actually, it doesn't even have to be low fat... if you give me the recipe, I can probably modify it myself. My husband was craving it, and I'm craving the ability to stay in my skinny jeans.

I did do a search online, but I'm not liking what I'm coming up with. Just wondered if you guys have a recipe you like.

well I can offer one trick to lighten the taters--I keep NF plain yogurt (after I strained some of the liquid w/coffee filter and funnel) to use w/2% milk and light butter. I cook half russets (bakers) w/yukons or just use michigan round whites alone.
If you want american ground beef version, I can recommend 10% fat burger from Sam's. (I've never looked for it at Walmart) but it's the only LF burger that has mega flavor. I buy a big pack of presliced patties and freeze them for use in meat loaf or grill, etc. Yo can freeze them liek pucks on a sheet them bag or wrap portions.
We used to make our SPie with left over chopped up roast beef and gravy--all the veggies--and top w/taters.
Im sure someone has to have a complete recipe you can tweak this way or that...
    Oh great--now I want some!
The real key to fluffy taters is not too high a temp and do not use beaters--that makes them rubbery (it's a chemical thing from pulling stretching starches...)

Not sure what you consider Shep Pie but this is a staple around here. Browned Ground Beef and onions (and Mushrooms if you like them), topped with drained canned green beans, topped with cream of mushroom soup, topped with mashed potatos. We usually cook it in the oven for awhile at 350 until the potatos are a little browned. If you use low fat meat, low fat mush soup (I don't care for it though it tastes too sweet to me), and don't add a lot of butter and milk to the potatos its pretty healthy! We use this as a New baby, Family Crisis, Welcome to the neighborhod-type casserole alot!

I say for Shepard's Pie, go straight to the source. You need a British recipe and who better than Gordon Ramsay!

    Most appreciated, guys.
Those are some good ideas. Funny you mention the Brit, Spotty... my father-in-law IS British (as in, not an American citizen) AND he and my mother-in-law own a gourmet restaurant. I never ever remember to ask them for recipes. Derrr...
