You are VERY sophisticated in my book!

Heck it was just a kicked up spinach salad and scallops served over a kicked up corn relish. No biggey!

Aww. I just can't bring myself to eat scallops, crab, shrimp, lobster, fish, steak, etc. It sucks because I really get bored of what I DO eat, but I just CAN'T eat any of those things. I was so not made for "high society" lol. If I ever had to go to any social function type thing where they served tiny little portions of braised scallops in mint tar-tar with a flambayed burgandy sauce....I'd have to starve. LOL.

But these are big giant sea scallops! And if you were ever a guest at my house and we were serving something you would not eat, there would be an addition on the menu of something you like just for YOU! Because YOU are special!

But would you at least take a bite of my giant sea scallop then?

Why not Michelle? Is it cause you think it's gross? Or you just dont like seafood?

Speaking of "gross" and "seafood"...anyone ever had steamers?
My DB has talked about them for years and since I'm living on the coast w/ a bevy of fresh seafood everywhere, he decided to cook some up for us for last night. I can't say they were really bad...I had about five. But not something I will look forward to cooking again.

I mean, when you have to shake the dirt out in a bucket of water before you put them in your mouth...ugh.

You meal sounds amazing, roz...i've been doing baby spinach with in-season pears and caramalized walnuts and baby squash, w/balsamic dressing. U make me want to go buy some blue cheese to go with it!

I love steamers! Did you wash them well and then cover them in a brine with corn meal to disgourge the sand for at least 3 hours? Then did you wash them again to rinse it all off?

Steamers are clams? I think?

Hmmm....Roz, he just rinsed them multiple times in water before and after he cooked them. What's this about cornmeal? I'm gonna have to go dig out my "Joy of Cooking"!
