You can also make chili. Again, I don't have a recipe but Chili is the easiest to make b/c I usually throw in what I have in my pantry or fridge. I usually make Turkey Chili.

Package of Ground Beef
Undrained Can of Beans Pinto , Black or Red Beans (your choice)
1 Can of Crushed tomatoes ( I usually buy the one that is spicy)
1 Onion
Cumin (to taste)
Chili Powder (to taste)
Salt (to taste)

Optional: ( I like to throw in some veggies)
1 Can of Corn
1 yellow squash cut up in cubes
1 Zucchini cut up in cubes

Brown ground beef and onions. Add salt, cumin, chili powder. Add Beans (do not drain), and Crushed Can of Tomatoes. (optional) Add in Veggies. Let simmer for about 20 minutes.

Variation: top with cheese and serve with tortilla chips
or serve with Rice

I know this is late, but we buy ground turkey (from Sam's). You can do this with ground beef too.

One night we have turkey tacos. The next night we have turkey chili.

As far as the chili....
I season the meat with paul pardone's fajita seasoning, while cooking. My kids hate chili beans, so we add refried beans instead. Add 2-3 cans of tomato sauce, 1 can of Rotel, about 2 T brown sugar. That's it. Very easy....very good.

I realize this is over a month after the orginal post, but have you ever just put a pound of browned ground beed/turkey with rice and cream of mushroom soup. I do that when i want something quick and easy and that i can save and reheat. just cook the rice and put the can of soup in with the rice then mix in the meat.

Sort of off topic... but when you mentioned you kids dont like chili beans... When I make pasta sauce (either with or without ground beef / turkey) I'll put a can of kidney beans in the food processor and add them in. It thickens the sauce, tastes great, higher in fiber and no one even knows there in there!
