Kudos on the family improvement and fast food reduction steps!

We don't eat fast food more than once every month so, but we do eat in restaurants about 2x a week. Both my husband and my son lean toward the "husky" side, so I really make an effort to make sure there is healthy food in the house. My son had his own food bin in the fridge with things he can snack on- string cheese, fruit, veggie sticks (no dip!), yogurt. We usually bring food with us where ever we go to.

Every few weeks my son and I will go grocery shopping and stock up a large lunch cooler with snacks to take to Dad at the flight school. That way dad has something to snack on all day and son learns about healthy options. We'll see how it goes once dad is actually flying for an airline though. Knowing him, he just won't eat more than 1 meal a day and some snacks. That's how he was in his bachelor days.

LOL! I had to read this to my DH, we both had a laugh at the "bow chica bow bow" part.

I would think that a happy-go-lucky couple like yourselves, with such interesting jet-setting lives, would have few troubles in the "bow chica bow bow" dept! But I have to agree that this topic seems to be our focus as a couple most of the time!

But I agree with Michelle, my family should focus on our diet as a whole, not just the fast food part. We don't eat out too much, but I put such junk in my body that at the end of the day I look back and gag!

Today for instance: I think I had Nutri Grain Waffels for breakfast, not too bad. But for lunch I ate with my grandmother who thinks Bologna is the only lunch meat ever made, so I had a Bologna sandwich and pizza for dinner, because that is what we do on Friday's (the Fruschetta kind, not take out). Nope not a fruit or a veggie has touched these lips today! Wait, does the glass of wine I had with the pizza count as a fruit?

Ever since I saw "Super Size Me" I just can't bring myself to do McDonald's anymore and honestly it kind of aggrivates me because I used to crave it sometimes and getting it was kind of nice.... but no way... not anymore... I have vowed to have a McDonald's free 2007! DH as well! As a metter of fact,,, since we saw that (3 months ago) I havent eaten at Wendy's, Burger King, or what else is there? I can't think right now but the only fast food I have done in a LONG time is earlier this week i HAD to go and find out what allt he craze was about with these "famous mashed potato bowls" from KFC.....not bad but probably wont have it again.

Well, according to my MIL, pizza is healthy because it has all four food groups! Yea, she's crazy! LOL!

nope, we're both more interested in being geeky (ie: computer work) and traveling than... you know...haha...so it takes us some good work to get back into.. wish it was easier cuz like everyone else, scheduling takes all the fun out of it.

I so agree with Kristie ... pizza, perfect meal if you throw some pineapple on it - meat, veggie, fruit, dairy. Cake, especially chocolate cake, excellent - chocolate is good for your heart or something now, don't you watch the news? LOL

Well I can tell you that it was much better when I entered my prime. But, beyond that, you need to set aside time to relax together and enjoy each other. Let things take its course. You may be suprised...
