| Hello ladies I am so glad I found you all! I just wanted to take this brief moment to introduce myself. My name is Christina. I am a Mom- (Master Of Multi-tasking) to four amazing kids. Dylan my oldest and only son is 8. Kaylie is 7, Ashley is 4 and Lauryn is 2. My husband of almost 11 years, Chris, works for Air Wisconsin. He started with the company 2 1/2 years ago as an FO flying their BAe146 (which they unfortunately no longer have) and then went on to fly the CRJ. Last December he accepted a position in the flight training department, training the new pilot hires, and really enjoys it. I know he misses the flying, but loves being home every night. (Well with the exception of about 1 week every other month.) As I am sure you could imagine, the kids absolutely love having their Daddy home, as do I. What a concept right? Having help raising the kids! I'm not sure how long this position will last, it looks like upgrade may be sometime next year, but for now this position works well for all of us. We currently live in Charlotte, infact we just moved here from Wisconsin 4 months ago as Air Wisconsin no longer flies to and from Wisconsin. (Makes sense right?) LOL. My husband and I are originally from Northern California, made a move to Northwest Phoenix, Indiana, Wisconsin, and now North Carolina. Of all the moves, this has been the most trying move for all of us, but we are making it work. Anyway...enough about me. I can't wait to get to know you ladies. |

He previously flew for Shuttle America before he got this job a year ago. We have a 18 mo. old daughter, Emily, and I am a stay-at-home mom. Jump right in and post! We'd love to get to know you better! |

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Hi and welcome! I have been with my boyfriend Nick since 10/2002. I think I found a few of these types of sites and joined them all a few months after we got 'serious' in 2003. They are a great support. I met Nick on an airplane, actually. When we met he was a career changer and a flight instructor. He then got hired at Mesa Air as a Beech 1900FO, then he moved to CRJ-200/900 FO, then he upgraded to ERJ Captain. We have done long distance, then he was living with me, and now he flies out of IAD (living in VA since May). We are both from the PHL area, but when we met we were both living in AZ (I am currently in Scottsdale). Nick will hopefully be getting hired at Continental- he just has to pass the sim on 12/11. If he does I am moving back to the East Coast and he will commute from Newark to PHL. He mentioned that he wants to move Houston at some point but that's way in the future and who kn ows with the way things change. We'll see! WELCOME! AmandaWelcome! Amanda |

| Tanya- Well isn't that interesting? My husband worked for Shuttle America just briefly before accepting a position with Air Wisconsin. He worked at Shuttle America from 02/2004-08/2004 (Like I said, just briefly!) Amanda- My husband is a career changer as well. Prior to being a pilot he worked for United Parcel Service (UPS) for 10 years. He worked in pre-load, in management, and then on to driving. But for him he really wanted a job that would utilize his brain rather than his body, so he made the choice to become a pilot. We all relocated to Phoenix so that he could attend flight school. We ended up staying in Phoenix for 3 1/2 years and loved it. He did the long distance thing form PHL as well, but that gets real old real fast so we made our next move to Indiana where we lived for a whopping 2 months, (YIKES) and then on to Wisconsin for 2 years where we also loved very much. The day we moved out of Phoenix it was 113 and in that same year we experienced -40 with the wind chill in Wisconsin. My poor kids had no idea what the heck was going on. What a year that was! Both of our extended families live in California, so it is just the six of us making our way in North Carolina. |

| Hi ChristyKay...I'm a Gina Kay! My friend Will is an FO for SWA and he's been flying since he could reach the pedals. I have an Air Force friend that moved to Charlotte almost a year ago from Atlanta and she had a rough time adjusting at first too, but she really likes it there now and is happy she made the move. Welcome to the board! |

| Hi there. I am Felicia and my husband Steve is a 757/767 Captain for UPS. He has been in aviation for about 17 years, 10 of which have been at UPS. I met him four years ago and we have been married for 1 1/2 years. We live in Louisville, KY which happens to be home for both of us. This site has really helped me to deal with the aviation industry by reading others' stories and advice. They are also very supportive no matter what the topic. It is a wonderful group of people. Welcome! Felicia |

| Amanda- My DH began his flight training in 02/2001 at PanAm @ Deer Valley. How funny that these two great schools are right across the paking lot from one another. Phoenix was good for all of us, infact we still have a home in the Northwest Phoenix area that we will be putting on the market within the next couple of weeks. Felicia- Secretly my DH would love to make a full circle and return to his UPS roots, we'll see what the future holds for us. UPS is an amazing company with amazing people regardless of what position you are employed. I again am so thankful that I have found this site. What a wonderful resource this site is to have at the ready. Unfortunately family and friends never really understand the complexities of being a pilot wife. (Trust me, they mean well, but it's just not the same!) |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | yeah, i hear ya there Christina...our lives just are not the same as the 9-5 families!! Welcome to the addiciton! I'm Kristie, my dh Doug runs Jetcareers.com and we just found out today that he was awarded the 767 ER (international) route out of JFK...he currently flys the md90's out of SLC for Delta... He's always wanted to work for UPS or FEDEX, so you never know... before retirement, he might decide to fly cargo for a bit so he doesn't have to deal with people on a constant basis... haha DH has a friend that currently works at Air Whisky....I myself am originally from Wisconsin as is Amber (MQAAord).. where in Wisc did you live? We currently live in Scottsdale and the selling market is still pretty slow here, so i'd almost wait on selling for a bit longer, if you can (?)... Again, welcome to the board!! It's nice to have you here! ![]()
