| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | I got home from working on my house (school was called due to weather) and expect to be able to sit in front of my computer and read all about the trials and tribulations of the on-line community. But alas, there have been 17 visitors in the last 24 hours, but nothing new to read. I hope all is well with everyone. My husband took the camera to our house today so he could take some pictures with the house covered in snow. (We had just under a foot.) He then had to go to work to shovel out airplanes for multiple hours. None could be flown today since the taxiways weren't plowed, but that is a minor detail. I am just excited because it is almost time to move into the new house. |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | I heard that pretty much everyone is or has snow now... an early winter, that's for sure! I remember living in Wisc, i was always hoping we'd get snow the day before or day of xmas..we didn't have too many snowfalls before then, just sheer cold! we're in our 3rd night here of "freeze warning"...I have the heat on in the house, but for some reason, it still says 68 degrees in here and yet, i have sweats and a fleece jacket on and i'm cold...i know the a/c regulates really good in the summer when it's too hot out, but it sure doesn't seem to do too good of a job during the winter! haha it's pretty funny to me too to see how many visit in a 24 hr period and yet, not many seem to have anything new or anything to say! as far as myself & doug go, we went out and picked up the new TV and spent some more business money before the end of the year by getting me a new macbook pro and him a 20" imac for our "new" office... we've switched rooms, bought some ikea desk furniture that really wasn't all that hard to put together (just time consuming) and are now installing/configuring the new office. we tried out our new espresso/cappucino maker today (a delonghi magnifica) and boy, was that fun!! needless to say, we won't be spending another dime after this for at least 6 months if not more! near the end of the year, we give our accountant a heads up as to what our intake vs expenditures are and she'll give us a heads up as to whether we need to spend more or not for deductible reasons, so that's why we are able to spend a bit more this year... guess we'll have to put more $$ into NetworkJC next year to have things even out a bit more. hmmmmm oooh the ideas i have....hahaha ![]()

| I'm in MI and we have no snow. We had some wind and really cold rain, but that's it!!! They keep predicting ice/sleet/snow, but it hasn't shown up yet. I'm not complaining in the slightest. |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Well, no snow here in MD! At least this weekend - then again, there could be a foot on the ground when I wake up tomorrow morning, but it might also be 80 degrees. You never quite know here. My weekend has been full of excitement! Brian and I adopted our first children yesterday - two kittens, one is already 7 months old, so we didn't want to change his name (Draco), and the other one was named Trouble, but we renamed her Piper. The first name fits better, though. So far her favorite activity seems to be walking across the keyboard while I'm trying to type. |

| No snow here, either--despite how much I would have loved a day off on Friday. However, it did drop from 72 to 35 overnight, making for tornado-like conditions for DH on his FAA check ride Thursday. He passed. Only one more flight overseas until his CA training is complete. As for me, I had my sister's baby shower at my house this weekend. It turned out great & she loved the baby christmas tree--especially since she got to take it with her! |

Brian and I were saying that - too bad they can't stay that size forever. Reminds me of that urban legend email about the Japanese engineering Bonsai kittens. Actually one of them (Draco) looks more like a cat than a kitten, he's so big - the shelter/we think that he's a Maine coon mix (which is why I wanted him) - he's only 7 months old and weighs 8 lbs already... I'm hoping that he gets a lot bigger . The other one is definitely kitten-size... I'm seriously thinking that we should've kept her name as Trouble!Anyway sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the thread, I'm just excited, hehe! I finally have someone to keep me company while he's away!!
