Situation: I met my boyfriend Nick last October when we were both passengers on a plane flying from Phila (where we're both from) going to Phx (where we both live now). At the time he was a flight instructor in AZ wishing he worked for the majors. In the last year he has worked hard, got more hours, and was just recently hired as a FO (1900) for a regional airline- Mesa. He has been in Wichita, KS for the last 2 weeks in ground school and will be there for approx. 3 weeks more. His base will be Pittsbugh when he's finished with training. Right now I'm living with his stuff. It's nice, but I would rather have him here! He wants me to move with him back to Phila eventually. He missed Thanksgiving and it looks like he won't be here for X-mas...and probably New Year's! This lifestyle will take some getting used to! At least there are such things as cell phones and email!
Tanya- You prompted me to check my original post too. Not much has changed though for me!

Nick and I are still dating (and it looks like that's the way it will be for a while!). he has moved on from the 1900 though. He is now an FO on the CRJ-900/CRJ-200 and flying out of PHX (yea!). His company is still crappy and he prays for an upgrade to Cpt soon.

I still work in finance but in the future I might be doing what a friend is doing- she just started a home-based business and she's making lots of $$$! We'll see, since I'm not into taking too many risks with my finances.

I still have my "katt" and she is still fat!

Interesting!! Welcome!
I am a wife of an FO for XJEt. We live in TX (Garland). I have an 8 mo old little girl. I am a physical therapist and work with peds. All of my kiddos have been diagnosed with either Autism or PDD among other numerous diagnoses. (Asbergers, ADHD, ADD, OCD, bipolar, MR). What are you going to school for?

Kim-I'm going to school for Psychology-Behaivor Analysis, which is a specialized program here at my school...the program has a 1 year requirement of supervised field placement in the community.

I'm doing my internship in an ECDD (Early Childhood Developmental Delay) classroom...so I'm working with children from 1-3 years old who have been diagnosed with Autism, ADD, Down Syndrome, physical disabilities, etc.

We have several different therapists that come into the classroom...physical (like yourself), speech, and occupational therapists.

What kind of setting do you work in?

I had the opportunity to switch my field placement location at semester, but I loved working in the classroom so much, there was no way I was leaving that place!
