Default Winggirl

Hello Everyone...
DH: I've been dating my pilot for basically the first 3yrs of his flying career. He is currently in flight school (fighters) with the USAF.
Family: We have a two year old dachshund together and a four year old cat, mine, who he tolerates bravely.

Occupation and Interests: I am a bookkeeper for a few Opthamology clinics in NW FL. It is very challenging and busy work which I love because it helps me not to focus on missing him.
I live in Florida, he lives in MS for his training. We have plans to move in together within the year

Sorry- I took the liberty of re-posting this here so we can write back to you!

It's nice to "meet" you! I've been with Nick since he was a flight instructor in 2002. He then went to a regional (Mesa Air) in 2003 and then got hired by Continental in January of 2007.

Cute dog! Nick loves those dogs but I don't think we'll ever get one. We are both on the short side and we'll probably end up having short kids I don't want to have a short dog too!!

Hahhahaha, that just made me laugh!! Can't be over saturated in shortness!

Welcome winggirl. My Fiance flies for Mesaba, FO in the CRJ900. We live near Monterey, CA and he commutes to MSP. No one will ever tell you this lifestyle is easy. Hang in there. If he is a "worth it" kind of guy, you'll pull through. Be strong.

HI Amanda!
Yeah, Dori is very short ..she can not wear any of the cute sweaters in winter time. Her stubby little arms never stay in. (for clarification: I do only try to force her to wear them because she frightens me so with her constant shivering)
Thank you for the kind welcome. I am so overly excited to have found this site and all of you.. Really, words can not describe. I need this so much, you see.

Thank You Spotty! So far our relationship has been a Drama/Adventure/Romance movie script and I have to admit it has been a little exciting to live one in real time. But then there are those times... the ones where I wish that he could be satisfied with living a "normal" life. I miss him being home almost every night for dinner, and having a standing Friday night movie date!
Thank you again for the encouragement.. He is totally worth it.. Although the question really remains, is this the life I want or can handle?

Hi and Welcome!

I am cassie, I have a short dog too, Kenzie my maltese, and we also have 2 cats in which one of them just had a litter of three, so we are up to 5 on the cats, oh my...

We live up by Charlotte, NC...BF just finished training with Republic, but I feel like we've been doing this forever!

Don't feel alone, at deep moments I will question myself, "Is this what I really want? Am I strong enough?" But then I realize, or well just kick myself for even doubting...I just look at the good in it all, and even with all the craziness in the aviation world, our relationship and me, myself are so worth pushing through each day...hang in there, and always feel free to post, we all get each other through tough times!

Cassie

Welcome!

This is a great place!
I know that when I have any problems or just any question at all that I can come here and all the ladies help out. It has for sure helped out in some tough times. I think that at one time or another everyone wonders if this is the life style for them. For me I just think that I can't/don't want to live without my pilot. He drives me crazy sometimes but at the end of the day we still love each other like crazy!!!
