| Hello everybody, I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I've been dating a pilot for over 5 years now and we are finally getting married in May. I've been with him since he first started his flight training so I've learned a lot about aviation myself but I'm still far from his knowledge lol He absolutely loves flying and he recently got is first airline job with PSA(US Airways Express). He starts training in January. I'm really excited for him and us because it feels like our life is taking shape. I guess I'll be working on wedding plans while he studies his butt off. Maybe that will help keep my mind off of him being away.As for my career, I have a BS degree in social work but still trying to decide how I want to use it. I've been working in administration at a daycare for almost 5 years. I really enjoy it but I know there are bigger opportunities out there. I want to het his job and our wedding behind us then I'll start focusing more on my career. I know lots of others have said this same thing, but this site is awesome. It's hard to talk to ppl who aren't in aviation because they just don't understand. I feel so much better know there is a support group out there for me because I know the pilot's wife job is not going to be easy. |
