Hello from FedEx

My husband is an F/O on the 727 with FedEx. He just passed the big first year there. Prior to FedEx, he was a CA on the RJ with Continental Express. We live in Louisville.....the two DD won't allow a move to MEM now! We have one indulged doberman and one cautious cat! I work for Southwest now...left Continental/Continental Express after over 14 years.....we love to travel...like a lot! I have been on 5 continents as a non rev! Caution to those starting out......it is NOT a good thing for kids to get used to Business Class travel!!

5 continents huh?! how did you accomplish that if you don't mind me asking? Did you non-rev on all of them and if so, how did you check loads for flights that weren't of your airline?

so....are you saying that your dobie is spoiled and your cat is afraid of the dog or just afraid of anything in general (like my black sasha is)?! HAHA

so what do you do for SWA?

Welcome!

I'm Robyn (teacher). My DH currently flies for ExpressJet (Continental Express)- he has been there for over 8 years. He is "swimming the the pool" at Southwest right now waiting for a class date, hopefully sometime in April/May of next year. We are very excited about him going over to Southwest.

We are expecting our first baby in January. Baby Boy should hopefully arrive around the middle of January....it is scary to think we only have 8 more weeks to think of a name for him!

Sorry about the copy and paste from another thread, but...

Hi and welcome to the board! I met Nick when he was an instructor in 2002. He then worked at Mesa for a few years and thankfully got hired at Continental. We were living in AZ when we met and dealt with the long distance thing for a while. Earlier this year I moved back to the East Coast so we can finally live together again and also be close to family. He used to want to work for FedEx in his earlier days but now is very happy at CAL- he likes working with people! The pay is better at FedEx though! He's on 1st yr CAL pay until Jan 23, 2008 and we're counting down the days.
