Got to meet Gina (GNA) this weekend!

and she's WAY cooler in person!

the photos are in the photo gallery... we had a meet & greet for Jetcareers in Long Beach that brought out 27 fine folks...doug, myself and our friend max drove out on Saturday and drove back on Sunday (long story, my job ate all my Friday time up and i didn't think i was going to be able to make it). We even had a student pilot from Bangor, Maine fly out and a student pilot from Texas fly out as well... so people from all over the place again and it was a great time!

I heard Gina did really well in the simulator compared to all the guys waiting for a turn.

We're going to try and host another one next year... I'd love to have all the ladies come out and take a few simulator lessons too, it'll give you really great perspective on just how the planes handle and how much involvement there is.

Again, Gina, it was really great to meet you in person! I'm sure we'll be doing it again!! My cousin finally called, he wants us to come back over...so it'll probably be sometime this year that we get back over there.

we're taking suggestions over in JC, so feel free to give your scoop over there so we can try to incorporate and make these gigs better for everyone.

Thanks for the compliment...you're cool too! Thanks to you, Doug and Max for making the trip down the 10 to visit us. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate; hopefully you'll get to see the beach next time your in town. Nice group photo (note to self: put brighter makeup on after getting only 3 1/2 hours sleep)!

I had such a fun time at both events and it's always nice to put a face to a screen name. What a great group of guys (and a few sig others) I met. They made me feel so welcome and even tried to tone the "plane talk" down for me. I was a bit nervous going in to the dinner, but by the time the appetizers rolled around we were all swapping stories like old pals.

I think it would be great if some of the Jet Girls could get into the sims; then the boys would have to listen to them go on and on and on for a change. It was so much fun talking to Will about planes he hasn't even flown yet. Of course he had to ask if the instuctor put me in a t-storm or had me land in snow like he's been doing all week. Figures!

I'm hoping to make Vegas this year for sure (I'll definitely make it if I'm living there). I'm telling ya ladies...you'll have a good time with the JC crew so start talking it up to your DH and DB's now!

I got DH wanting to go to a meet anf greet. I tried to get him into JC.com but he has another forum that he lurks at. I've never seen anyone lurk for so long! Same forum for five years!

At least your DH lurks...Will can barely stand to use the computer to do his bids! Plus he's on dialup still, so that adds to his dislike of the internet. I told him it's his loss he's not involved in JC, but I think missing out on all the fun I had when the gang met in Long Beach might convince him to come to the next one. Maybe. Just maybe!

speaking of the next one.. i don't know if you saw or not yet but JC is trying to hook up a disneyland meet & greet!! maybe late april...not sure if doug and I can make it but it sounds like another pretty big meeting.

that sounds like a blast to me!!
