When grocery shopping, hubby says I like to visit with the meat. I spend a lot of time at the meat counter in several grocery stores. Comparing, thinking, planning. But I think the time spent pays off when it comes to the cost of the grocery bill.

That is Annie, as in Little Orphan Annie because she just showed up in our yard one day. She is an English Setter. She is very docile and will even allow being placed in hubbys flight case for a picture to surprise him with later. (He went to restroom while doing updates.)

Thanks for asking. I love to brag about my "childern".

SALES, sales, sales, COUPONS, coupons, coupons!!!

As a SAHM with four kids and a pilot for a husband- shopping this way has become a way of life for me. I love a great deal, but I love a free deal even more! By pairing sale items with coupons I am always coming home with free (or next to nothing) groceries. Sometimes the stores even pay me to shop their grocery store isles. (When my coupon exceeds the sale amount I sometimes receive money back- how cool is that?!)

Seriously- My name is Christina and I am a coupon addict...

Thats awesome that you can do that! I tried to look at coupons in the sunday paper and find good deals but I can't seem to find anything that great. Maybe I should research stores more to see what they offer as far as double coupons and matching ads or something? And advice for a coupon addict wannabe? haha

We don't really have consistancy. When my husband is away I tend to eat pretty cheap. I would guestimate about $75 - 100 a week on food and the basic house needs. I am a coupon queen though! I go no where with out them and spend part of Sunday afternoon cutting coupons in the Sunday paper and comparing them to weekely circulars to get the best deals! It pays off! When I can get something for almost nothing I stock up. I paid I think $30 for the sunday paper with all its coupons and it paid for itself in 2 weeks. I also have credit cards or loyalty cards for places we freqeunt to make the most of sales..i.e Target, CVS.

We go grocery shopping all the time... almost every day since doug likes to decide what's for dinner that afternoon/evening.

We too stock up using Costco on most of the household type items and some grocery items that we always eat....but for the most part, i'd say since it's just the 2 of us, we might spend about $200 a month, maybe a bit more.

Stocking up helps because when he's gone, i really don't need to go grocery shopping at all.
