Hey Ladies! I have been reading about this program called the " grocery game " ---it is an online website you register with and they send you weekly coupons for your chosen local food store and then you match them up with your coupons in the Sunday paper. I was wondering if any one has tried this and found the product coupons useful for what you actually buy and need -- and if you do need a newpaper subscription to really max out the savings? ( We currently do not get a paper ) It cost about $8 a month and apprently the savings add up to about $150-200 a month. Has anyone used this services and had any luck?

I wrote it on another site, but the grocery game, to me, is so not worth it. I think someone else on here likes it and uses it, but I get so much better info. and save so much more through these sites: refundcents (Paid site, but well worth it), hotcouponworld, afullcup, and i heart cvs I joined grocery game for a trial month and canceled it before the month was up....these other sites do the same thing for less money or free, and they give so much more info. If I remember correctly, you pay an additional 5.00 a month for each grocery store you want deals to.. Someone taught me that loyalty to one store does not save you money...nothing wrong with being loyal to a store though. If we had a mom and pop type store, I would probably pay more because I like those type of stores, but for right now, pennies count and I mostly shop at Winn Dixie (meat is always buy one get one free, and they have great meat specials), and publix (I love how clean the store is), cvs (for diapers and beauty supplies....they have great deals combined with the cvs extra bucks. I have all my excederin for the year, and i think I actually made money on buying them. Right now, they have a lot of the nice make-up clearanced at 50 or 75 percent off, a deal with soyjoy bars of buy 4 for 4.00 and get 4.00 ecb's back (there were get one free coupons in last sundays paper, so I made 4.00 and got free bars---don't know how they taste though)... Anyways, what works for some, may not work for others, but like I said, the same info is available for free on the other sites. Again, someone on here does the grocery game and really likes it.

Oh, and I just bought a nautica comforter that I really wanted, but hubby said we couldn't afford it at Ross' yesterday. I paid 49.99, and it is a 200 and something dollar comforter. You have to love those discount stores like Ross, TJ max, and Marshalls. They have tons of polo, nautica, ralph lauren, jones of new york, etc., but the bad part is that it is hit or miss. Sometimes they have it and sometimes they have absolutely nothing. I bought my 150.00 le creuset there several years ago for less than 50.00. I don't know what I would do without the le creuset; it is the best!
