Jack LaLanne Power Juicer

So I am sure you have all seen that old, but very fit man on the tv infomercials, Jack LaLanne and his wife Elaine LaLanne (I always laugh at her name)...anyhow...DH and I purchased the Power Juicer Elite and it was just delivered today. DH is away on a trip so the kids and I tore into the box and started juicing away. OMG so far so good. We tried a tangerine, orange, strawberry juice and it was so good. So good infact that the kids wanted more, and more, and more. We actually made a special trip to the grocery store this evening just for fruit and vegetables.

It's kind of funny becuase I don't have a problem with the kids eating their daily fruits and vegetables the problem is actually with the DH! We purchased this machine with the hopes that I can find some great fruit/ veggie combination drinks. Healthier eating in the new year and all!

Anyone else juice? Favorite combinations?

We bought a vitamix, same concept. When the person was demonstrating it, they put in carrots. Couldn't taste it, but it still gave the smoothie all the vitamins of the carrots.

We make smoothies almost everyday with the vitamix too. The kids love it, and hubby is always trying different combos with anything we have around the house.

When I worked at an Athletic club, they made a smoothie with protein powder, orange juice, ice cream, ice, and cranberry juice. Doesn't sound great, but it was pretty good.
