Regina, you have really started something for me with your weekly deal updates. I bought the Sunday paper after church this morning and had a blast. Made two trips to CVS, one to Food Lion, and one to Lowe's using coupons from the paper and from online. I too printed the 10.00 houseplant coupon, but our Loew's didn't have any houseplants (they are in the process of moving locations-deals within itself because of that almost everything is 25% off-).My favorite bargin today was at Food Lion. 2.00 off coupon for Oreos from Full Cup. Oreos are on sale for 2.49 right now. So I got a package for .49!!! You have created a monster!!!

I don't know if you have a home depot close, but some of them (I would call ahead and check), will accept the 10.00 Lowe's competitor coupons. I think the best thing about CVS is when you use their coupon (for like 2.00 off 10), combined with a ecb deal, and a manufactor's coupon. For instance, today's paper had a 4.00 off coupon for a lady's razor. CVS has 3 ecb's back when you buy one. So, I am going to buy something like their bonnie bell lipgloss for 25 cents to get my total up past 10. That way, I hand them the 2 off 10 coupon, then hand them the 4.00 manufactor's coupon, then I pay 4.25 plus tax for a 10.00 dollar razor, get 3 ecb's back, so actually, I end up paying 1.24 plus tax for a really nice razor. My mom and I went yesterday. I bought 12 excederin migraines, 12 soy joy bars, 3 johnson baby soap bars, 3- gallons of milk...I used 12 of the 2.00 off excederin coupons from last sunday's paper, 11 free soyjoy coupons from last sunday's paper (I forgot to give one of the coupons), I also forgot to give my 3 -1.00 off johnson's products coupons, and 5.00 off 15 cvs coupon. Anywho, I spent a few dollars, and I also got back 13.00 in ecb's back!!!! That was so much fun! Oh, we stopped at Target before that, and my mom had 4 of the 2.25 cents off electrasol tabs coupons. It made the 24 count electrasol tabs about 40 something cents a box.(sale this week)..up north, it is even cheaper than that. I looked at publix the other day, and they sell for over 4.00 a box. My mom is doing the pepsi deal at cvs this week...spend 20 in qualifying pepsi products and get 10.00 ecb's. gatorade 32 oz. also counts in this deal. So, she will use a cvs coupon for 4.00 off 20 (I think the 5.00 off 15 has expired), spending 16.00, but get's 10 ecb's back. So, actually spending 6.00 for 20.00 worth of products. CVS is clearing shelves of a lot of make-up...75 percent off, so you may want to check that out too. Oh, and there are certain cvs toothbrushes on sale for 2.99, but you get 2.99 back in ECB's...not sure of the limit (maybe 2). Oh, and if you know of any diabetics, CVS has a monitor on sale for 9.99. They are giving 9.99 back in ECB's when you buy the meter. There is a book in the back of the pharmacy called managing your diabeties that has a coupon for 50.00 off that meter. The stores price adjust the coupon for 9.99 off, making it free, plus you get 9.99 back in ecb's! Some stores will not let you use the coupon, some will...just depends on your store, I guess. I haven't done the deal yet, but so many people have used the deal. If you don't know of somebody that can use it, you can donate them to a lot of places like women's shelter's, etc. I love saving money, even better I love making money just by using a coupon! I always hope someone can use some of these deals. I know it saves me a lot of money, and it also is one of my hobbies now.

Oh, the ecb's are just like CVS cash. It's basically a money coupon to use on your next purchase. A lot of people use these to roll over to more extra bucks. They expire, so you have to look at those dates. Here in Florida, CVS, on most weeks, has milk the cheapest. So, if I can't find anything to roll over the bucks, then I use them to buy my milk for the week. Saves a bunch of money! Yes, I like a fullcup for coupons. There is a site you have to pay for that is really good and worth it called RefundCents - Coupons, Refunds, Codes, Bargains, On-Line Shopping . Refund cents tells you what coupons are coming out that next week, deals going on, how other people are combining deals, etc. BUT...there is a free site that I really, really like called Hot Coupon World . Hot coupon world will tell you your grocery store's deals for the week, match them up with coupons from the paper, and tell you how to get the best deal. They also match up the cvs deals, walgreens deals, target, lowes, etc. It is great and free! Oh, walmart sells a magazine that has a lot of coupons called All you. The last 2 times it didn't have much, but usually it has a lot of coupons. I bought a subscription from e-bay for maybe 6.00 or so dollars for the year. I joined that grocerygame website for a month trial, and I thought it was way too expensive, and for me, it wasn't any better than the free hotcouponworld. I think I have saved almost 400 dollars a month since I started looking through refundcents and hotcouponworld. Some weeks I do better than others. Some weeks when I am not feeling so hot, I don't even bother getting a paper...then my husband really knows I feel lousy! Most of the time, it is that week that has the best coupons and I missed out! I got a great deal on a newspaper subscription. I bought thursday through sunday from december until june. It was 13.99, but I also got a 10.00 gift card to publix with the subscription. So, for 6 months, I get the paper delivered for 3.99 total. Our sunday paper st. petersburg times costs 1.00 on sundays, so this was well worth it. I just wish I would have chose the longer subscription. But anyway, if I see that there is some great coupons, I send my hubby out for more papers. If not very good coupons, I stick to just the paper I get delivered. Then my mom and me trade some coupons. Hope this helps.

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Regina, I love your little tidbits, it helps out a lot! Thanks! I have actually been keeping up with my coupons and have on average saved over $50+ on my trips to the grocery store...yesterday at Food Lion sub-total $210 with store card and my MANY coupons I only paid $85! I keep telling BF how good I'm doing, and he's surprised, and plus we're saving $$$!

Regina - Thanks for the great Lowe's tip! I am going to check out Full Cup and hotcouponworld.... We need all the savings we can get with me back in school and I have made it sort of a challenge! I didn't read this thread and I posted a new one about the Grocery Game service?? Have you used that? But its not free, so I may take advantage of hotcouponworld instead. Thanks!

In my opinion, the grocery game is way overrated and way too expensive. I had a trial for 1 month, and I canceled even before the trial was up...you have to pay an additional 5.00, I think, for each store you sign up for, people can't list the items from other stores that they got cheaper, etc. They are way too controlling for me. I got far better deals and info from refundcents (paid site, but very reasonable, and it has paid for itself way over what I actually pay), hotcouponworld, afullcup, and a new one that I just found called i heart cvs . The last 3 are all free. Hotcouponworld lets you know of the upcoming deals too. It has saved us so much money. Hotcouponworld will tell you deals on the grocery stores in your area. To me, every little bit counts, and I love getting free things (such as the lowes plant). I also found that bath and body works has these coupons for free things all the time with any purchase. Any purchase can mean those tiny gift bags for 1.00. No, it wasn't there intent for someone just to buy a 1.00 bag, but it doesn't stipulate on the coupon. So, I get a 12.00 something for paying a 1.00...a nice gift for someone to have around for birthdays, thank you's, etc. I don't do it all the time, but if I am over that way and have a coupon, I run in real quick to have it around the house for those just in case times. You could also put them in a nice basket with some pampering goods for even a better gift.
